These pins are everything the other reviewers say: sharp, easy to see, nice and long. I was using them to hold transfers for embroidery to my fabric and the heads melted from the heat of the iron. The good part is they didn't melt completely, they just flattened. They didn't get gooey or mess up the work and are still quite useable. This has never happened with other pins, I was surprised.

These straight pins are just what my college student needs for his garment construction class. They are longer than regular straight pins, and the bigger head on them makes it easier to grasp one.

These are quite long with big, brightly colored heads, which makes them easy to use and easy to spot when pinning fabric. The batch I received contained only sharp pins as far as I know. I have not found any blunt ones as of yet.

The only minor issue I have is that the color flakes off the heads fairly easily, at least on some of the pins. The heads are white underneath. This doesn't make the pins unusable at all, it is just that I prefer certain bright colors for certain projects.

I went to a couple of stores trying to find long pins then came across these on here. They are long enough for me to not have to pin so closely together and strong enough to handle heavy fabric. Exactly what I was looking for!

I hate rating something this low unless it deserves it, and these do. The heads come off when pinning so you have to dig it back out with needle nose pliers. The pins bend at the slightest pressure. If you need pins for sewing projects, draping or dressmaking then buy something else from someone else and by pass these altogether. Just fair warning....

If you sew a little or a lot, you need pins to hold things together until you sew it and whatever pins you buy, you will likely reuse for years,, These enamel tipped pins are easy to place and remove and should last forever,,Good quality firm pins and easy to see due to the pearlized tips..

Too many of these pins are simply wires with bead heads... no point. About ten years ago, shoddy pins and needles started coming on to the market -- I guess Americans are too stupid to know a sharp pin from a blunt one. Stick to the ones from reputable British or Japanese firms.

I love the idea of these longer pins. They are much easier for these older fingers to pick up. However I do a lot of denim work and these pins bend easily when pushed through denim. They are fine for lighter weight fabrics
