After being diagnosed w ulcerative colitis, I did TONS of research of diets and supplements to reduce inflammation and help with digestion. Down to barely 100 pounds (at 5'8") I was on the verge of a surgery that would include removal of my entire colon. As a last ditch effort I begged my doc to give antibiotics a try. My problem came to a temporary halt. But about a month later I feel I'll again. I did lots more research and did another attempt w antibiotics followed by probiotics. All the research I did led me to udo's choice and sure enough it worked like a charm. Totally fixed for over a year! Then had to go travel and gave a few other non refrigerated probiotics a try. The colitis crept back every time I tried to switch. Caught early on I just had to do a few of these to get back on track. I have been completely fine now for coming up on three years and feel pretty strongly that this product has hugely aided in my success.

I have also had huge success with giving these to my dogs when they get runny stool, and it cleans everything up usually with just one dose.

I have recommended these to several friends with digestive issues ( everything from not being able to go for a week at a time to those with problems more similar to mine) and all have reported great success.

I do worry that shipping from amazon is not the best idea though as these are live culture strains that are meant to be refrigerated. Shipping and temperatures can greatly effect the longevity of the bacteria. Most probiotics are flash frozen and are not as supceptable to temperature fluctuations. That being said, most health food stores carry these. Whole foods included.

This probiotic is a great product to take while on antibiotics. It helps keep the amount of yeast balanced in your body. Excellent for woman so they can avoid yeast infections. Also, it's a natural way to cure a current yeast infection and avoid all the chemicals you buy in products at the pharmacy.

I travel internationally every week - China, London, Japan, etc. and the locally ingested flora mess with my gut. I also drink alcohol, especially hopped beer which kills good gut flora. This product does a great job regulating my digestive tract! - Way better than any yogurt or hard pill drug store probiotic!

I have known about the benefits of probiotics for years. When my last favorite vitmain company was sold to P&G, I had to beging my research anew. I had been missing probiotics for a good 18 months before trying Udo's. It took a week or so of very sudden and frequent trips to the bathroom, but now I feel much better. The skin is a bit clearer, but overall I feel good (it is probably the combination of RAW vitamins in addition to the probiotics).

One word of warning, I get pretty nauseous when I take these, so I have switched to taking them at night. I tried taking them in the middle of a meal, at the end, etc. I would be nauseous for a while, but I feel the benefit of these outweights the nausea.

I have tried many probiotics, and this seems to be one of the few that actually helps my stomach. The fact that it doesn't need refrigeration (recommended but not required) and the price is not out of this world make it a no-brainer for me.
