First of all, I usually don't get amazed easily, but when I came across this product the first time I was shocked at how great it was. I really needed a haircut badly, and my best friend decided to take me to his barber. This was a nice salon, and I ended up getting my usual cut. Now, I have REALLY thick hair and most gel/wax/glue doesn't really hold my hair to the style I desire (Check my Amazon Profile Picture to get an idea). So I decided to ask the barber if he had any product to spike my hair up, he decided to use this product on me. Coming out of the barber shop, my hair looked great. He was selling this product for 25 bucks, and at the time I really didn't want to invest that much on a wax stick. When I came home I decided to look up this product on amazon. To my surprise it was and still is selling for only 11 dollars. I bought one right away. Now of course, barbers at salons are experts with hairstyles and I didn't expect my hair to look as it did when he used this product on my hair to style it. With very little hope, I decided to give it a shot. To my surprise, it was making my hair look great. Now the beautiful part about this stick is that you can just use it, without ever having to touch the wax and getting your hands all messy. If you twist the stick all over your hair slowly, it will give you a messy look, which is extremely hard to achieve with my hair type, but this stick makes the job easy. Also if you want just a regular spike, all you need to do is brush your hair up with the stick and it will stay strong and up throughout the whole day. Best part about this wax is that, it does not make your hair hard, it leaves it very soft so you can always play around with your hair later on in the day and turn it into a different style.Read more ›

okay so my hair is natural and i flat-iron it at times to get it straight...and this product works well with keeping those edges down and keeping any "fly-aways" in place. It does have a slight "wax/grease" smell but it doesn't bother me as i only use just a little....

I've been using this product for a good 8 years now. I have a lot of thick, straight black hair. Like whenever I would get a haircut, the salon lady would say, "OH your hair is so thick and lush!" in which I respond with a smug smile and proceed to fall asleep as she massage my head.

Anyway, this product is perfect for the dry, yet styled look that I've had for years. I like the volume it gives my hair, the pliability of my hair throughout the day (if you wear motocycle helmets, this would be great...although it may dirty the inside), and like many wax products, stays on your hair for a long time.

Notes:
- I've found that using the product on damp hair works the best. When its too wet, the water/wax combo gets almost too thick, too dry, and the product actually doesn't last very long.
- The worst thing about this product is the smell. I wish they had something that smelled better than just your plain wax. My head has been smelling like this for years, so when I smell all the other products on the market with great smells, I get instantly jealous. It's not a bad smell, just waxy in the all natural wax kind of way.
- Don't leave this in the car! It melts!

Similar to another more pricey product. It has a nice smell and one shampoo later is out of hair. My hair is fine, so if I don't use some kind of volumizer plus a separating product, hair is flat with little to no life. Slightly sticky on skin.

Looks like the bee's wax from my mother's old sewing kit. Same consistency. This stuff comes right out when you wash your hair, but god forbid if you didn't, it would still keep your hair styled for days (OK... I tested that theory!). Just run your fingers through your hair and your hair stays where you put it. I remember what I used to do before. Uggghh. Hair spray that was sticky, left my hair crunchy and stopped working before happy hour. Not this stuff. I hope they never discontinue it. I haven't found it in the stores in years. A grocery store chain had it for a few months. But I just happily order it here now and keep buying more and more. I've probably gone through two dozen of these in the last two decades, the last dozen purchased here on this website.

This wax stick works really well to hold hair in place without giving it that greasy too wet look. The stick itself glides on the hair nicely and gives hair a dry styled look. The smell is great, not over powering but there's something about it I like. My boyfriend uses it all the time and I think its looks better then any gel or hair styling product out there for guys.
