This is by far the best and most absorbable iron product on the market. I have a generic iron absorption problem that runs in the family. I searched for years for a product that would absorb quickly and completely without digestive upset. I stumbled on this some years ago in a health food store and have recommended it to many friends with the same great results I experienced.

MD said to increase iron and this produce did it in one bottle. Far better than carbon iron which is the normal iron you buy. This is the real stuff that your body can get right into. Since I must keep my red blood cells up, this iron has done it far better.

This is a good product, and it's not overly constipating, good co factors like vitamin c, except that it uses folic acid (synthetic) instead of folate (natural). And there's a lot of info coming out these days about the difference. I used this product for years but am in search of another for this reason. I also hope the manufacturer will consider switching to folate.

A fantastic source of iron, with the added bonus of massive amounts of B12. I recommend taking it in the morning with breakfast because the taste that comes from it digesting alone is a bit nauseating.

I am starting to believe that there is no such thing as a form of iron that doesn't cause stomach upset and/or constipation in people who are prone to it. This however was the WORST! I took one pill and I had intestinal distress and pain for about 24 hours. Into the trash it goes. I even tried the liquid plant based iron - didn't hurt but made me constipated. The only route for me I think may be to start juicing.

I have chronically low iron. I purchased this at the recommendation of a friend. These liquid gelcaps are easy to swallow. Tehy don't unsettle my stomach like other supplements I've tried. I get my iron levels checked regularly, and there has been a marked improvement since I started taking these regularly (My iron level was typically in the low 20s, now is steady between 37 and 42).

I am chronically anemic and regular iron supplements usually cause some unpleasant "digestive" side effects. My doctor recommended these and they don't cause any of the normal side effects. Now, if only I could remember to take them every day ;-)
