this cow is perfect for the hip city urban homesteader - small size, and very low maintenance as the previous commenter said. this cow is more suited as a companion pet - it is very easygoing and likes to travel. mine prefers to ride in the car with the window open, or walk with me to work. it doesn't even complain when i accidentally lose him under the couch cushions, or when my son chews on its head .

I love this company.. the attention to detail is astonishing. It is like actually owning a real to life Miniature of the animal. Even down to the wet lil nose and glistening eyes. Even the paint jobs o these lil creatures are perfect. The pictures just do not do them enough Justice. And they are made of a sturdy durable hard plastic.

The only other company that even comes "close" to this level of quality is Paco.. the paint jobs may not be flawless as Schleich, but they do manage to pull off amazing sculpts of posed action shots.

My son loves his Schleich animals. I got them because of their durability, size and attention to detail. My 2 year old loves to play pretend with them, and they're not too small or delicate for my 7 month old to hold and I don't worry about her putting them in her mouth since they aren't too small. Highly recommend! I am slowly building up my collection of Schleich animals, definitely worth the cost.

This was my first purchase of Schleich animals-->for my son's 4th birthday gift as well as a few for décor on his cake. These are stunning realistic animals at a great price and they seem well-made and durable enough for my home of 3 little guys:) I would highly recommend any of these animals as I purchased farm animals, forest creatures and exotics -again I am very impressed and believe it to be money well spent for imaginative, yet realistic play!!
