I just received the product in an incredibly timely manner and it looks like the image provided. The image indicates 60mg but the actual breakdown is Zinc (as zinc orotate) 9.5mg - 63%, and Magnesium (as magnesium carbonate and magnesium stearate) 18mg - 59%. There is no image for the supplement facts nor was this indicated(at the time of this review - June 20th, 2014) in the product description anywhere. Those two reasons are why I gave it a 3 star rating to start. The product also appears to have a lot of excipients or "fillers." I was not sure what any of these are so I did some research and this is what I found. These ingredients are listed under the "Other Ingredients" section of the label: Avicel, Provsolv, Pure Food Glaze, Ac-Di-Sol, Compritol and Plasdone.

Avicel - A microcrystalline cellulose powder used by both the food and pharmaceutical industries. Wood is chemically treated to extract naturally occurring cellulose to create apical. The pharmaceutical industry uses it as filler in pills as near as I can tell.

Prosolv - A silicified microcrystalline cellulose, which is a combination of microcrystalline cellulose and silicon dioxide, as far as I can tell, this means it is used primarily as a flow agent as well as a filler in powders, presumably used to keep the tablets from sticking, or clumping together, to whatever press they use to form them.

Pure Food Glaze - This is used by the drug and nutritional supplement industry as a coating material for tablets and capsules. It serves to improve the products appearance, extend shelf life and protect it from moisture, as well as provide a solid finishing film for preprint coatings. It also serves to mask unpleasant odors and aid in the swallowing of the tablet.Read more ›

Quality zinc for a good price, but dissolves in my mouth before I can take a sip of water, blah! Ground up in a smoothie works good. I will buy again. I believe it has helped me ward off shingles outbreaks when I am feeling run down. I start taking two a day morning and night at the first sign of tingling and outbreaks have been abated so far.

I read that the prostate relys on the kidneys for support. That the prostate needs and processes zinc easily which also the body needs for health. My husband had a swellen prostate. So, I bought this product and it really worked very effectively. He had an easy flow and the pain stopped. I really was happy with his results. I am a believer and also read the orotates have more absorption rate. For me this a keeper and he will continue to take. Anxious to see if his prostate will remain healthy.

I have honestly never written a review but felt compelled. I struggle with autoimmune issues which include migraines and insomnia. I read the book by the Medical Medium and listened to his shows on soundcloud. He suggested this form of zinc along with a few other vital supplements like hawaiian spirulina. I am hoping these are both causing my serious increase in ability to fall asleep and sleep for longer stretches. I had been taking other zinc forms with no improvement and literally the first night I slept noticeably better. Check out this dude, Anthony William. I was skeptical, am a post-graduate educated person. I reached a point where I was open to trying a new approach. You have to hit a rock bottom place before you get serious about nutrition and seriously healing. Try the celery juice and two cloves of crushed raw garlic a day, too. I am going to start giving this zinc to my kids, as well, instead of those gummy chews full of citric acid and natural flavors.

I rate 3 stars only because I am not experiencing the effects I wanted. Obviously it is probably not this vendor's fault. I was hoping this would clear up my acne a bit. It seems to work a little but my acne really fluctuates and clear up on its own sometimes. I rate 3 stars because the customer service I recieved was poor when I called to ask about dosing.

I'm just really grossed out by the fact that the photo is of a 60 mg bottle, when the product they send is a 9.5mg bottle :/
Yes, the seller does ask to be aware in the description.
