This is more the camera's fault than the battery's, but the BP-809 won't last much more than an hour on the Vixia HF10 or HF100 (even less if you zoom, use the on-board light, or do other power-intensive things). Much better to get the Canon 2589B002 BP-819 Lithium Ion Battery for HF10 & HF100 Camcorders, which provides a comfortable 2.5 hours of performance on either camcorder.

Did well for as said all of 70 min. For more time try BP-817 or BP-829. Also if you can shoot video with the LCD closed and less zooming saves battery.

Very good battery. I always buy name brand vs. off market. Pays dividends in the end.
