So, my dad is 88, and has a VERY large Maine coon cat, Sheba, who likes to accompany him outside and play on the big back lawn or the front walk while he relaxes in the sun. But she also likes to explore, and sometimes disappears around a corner, or behind some bushes or trees, and Dad has to go chase her...
So today, Father's Day, my sisters and I gave him this harness to put on her, and a Flexi retractable leash (Flexi Explore Soft Grip Retractable Cord Dog Leash, small, 26-feet long). We were worried the harness wouldn't fit or--more importantly--that it would be difficult to get on her, or be so uncomfortable she wouldn't like it. But amazingly, it was a HUGE HIT! Dad was able to put it on her in about two seconds (seriously, all you do is put it over your pet's head, then bring the straps up behind the front legs and snap them around the back). At first it looked like it might be a bit large (we got the medium dog size) and she might be able to slip out of it, but then we realized: Hey--it's adjustable!
So right now Dad is outside with Sheba, relaxing with a cup of coffee while she digs in the dirt and rolls around in the shrubs, and he doesn't have to worry about losing her or running after her. Btw, we also got a 20-foot extension he can add to the leash to give her more room to roam, but it won't arrive till tomorrow... Anyway, the harness/leash combo not only works incredibly well, it really fills a need. We couldn't be happier!

I have had this harness for about 4 months...... I got a 6 year old rescue dachshund and when I got her she pulled so hard on her leash she was constantly choking and coughing uncontrollably on walks. She is much better now, but those who say this collar is not built well, I'm not sure what there dogs were doing!! This dog put it to the test. Over months of training she pulled, bit, and fought against this harness. Now that her training is much better she loves it, and is so excited when I pull it out I have actually trained her to respond to "leg" where she lifts her leg to put it on. As i initially got a dog who pulled a ton, this is definitely a "no pull" collar, during our training, the gagging stopped. I even bought one for an elderly neighbor who always said she couldn't find a good harness for sale in our little town. She loves it too. My dog is a 16 lb doxy, who has a slender neck, she fits perfectly into a medium.

This harness is perfect for my strong 100-lb female German Shepherd! I didn't know if the material would be strong enough to hold her back when we went for walks/jogs, but it is fine. The harness doesn't seem to bother her at all either. It doesn't rub her anywhere, and she runs and plays with no sense of discomfort.
I did get the XX-Large size, which is perfect for her large upper body. Her neck measure 17.5", so I thought the X-Large may be too small for her. (see pictures I uploaded with the yellow harness)
I would recommend this product for sure!
