Good, but could be better

This is a simple, straightforward product. It does the job. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have a thin layer (perhaps 1/16") of closed-cell foam between the baseplate and the adhesive backing. This would allow the plate to contour to more kinds of tile.
The tiles in my shower have just a tiny bit of contour. So far, the hook is holding well, but because there is no flexibility to the backing, I am/was concerned.
I'd certainly recommend a good cleaning of the surface. I did a scrub with alcohol before I mounted the adhesive.
And, hey, these are inexpensive, so you have little to lose . . . .

FOUND THIS TO WORK WELL IF YOU HAVE A FLAT SURFACE AND CLEAN WELL, ENDING WITH AN ALCOHOL WIPE!
