My daughter is a culinary major at a nearby college and the two of us are having lots of fun making our own pasta. For our lasagna noodles and raviolis we wanted the fancy edge that you get from bought noodles and we got it from this tool. We just throw it in the dishwasher after use. It does exactly what we wanted and what we expected from this tool.

I wanted to make homemade ravioli's for the first time recently so I bought this. It is nearly identical to the one that my grandma had, including the little ringing sound that it makes when you spin the wheel in the air. Anyway, it cut and sealed the ravioli's very well. Quick note - when you press the top layer of pasta dough over the filling, make sure to systematically get the air out from the ravioli pockets otherwise it won't matter much how good of a pasta wheel you have.

We made our first ravioli with this tool and it is Awesome! We cut them easily, it is not sharp, so it didn't cut it without merging the two layers wich is very useful, we did not have to touch the border again, it was sealed and shaped at once!

I purchased this to make fresh homemade ravioli. I considered buying one of those dual-wheel contraptions, but instead decided on this single version. I figured if I want to cut straight pasta, I can just use a pizza cutter to get the same result.

This particular ravioli wheel appears to be sturdy and well made. The wheel moves freely and smoothly. The black plastic handle is comfortable to grip. Additionally, the hole at the end of the handle was an important feature because I hang the majority of my kitchen tools from the hooks on a magnetic knife strip.

I'm assuming if this is washed quickly and well maintained, it should last you a while.

I had to send this item back as the cutter fell off the handle when I took it out of the box. There is no screw on the item that I could have reattached it on the handle. Needless to say, I did not reorder this product.
