Using my Whirly Pop,just heat up the oil, add 2:1 ratio of corn to glaze and wow, instant delicious caramel corn. Add salt and it tastes just like the kettle corn at a fair. The cleanup of the popper is so easy if you dump the popper immediately after the wild popping stops and not a second longer. And, no unpopped kernels. The smell stays in the house a couple days and makes you want to make more. Highly recommended! Grandkids loved it!

Gets the popper filthy. Doesn't coat every kernel. Burns easily. Frankly I believe if you want caramel you either need to take the time to process the old fashion way or you need a machine that is built for that purpose.

So I had been craving caramel corn, but could never find it in stores without peanuts except at Christmas time. I just gave up and decided to make my own. I combined 4oz of popcorn kernels, 2oz of this glaze, and two tablespoons of vegetable oil and used a Whirley Pop to make popcorn on the stove. I was concerned the glaze might burn, but it didn't and the popcorn came out perfectly with hardly any unpopped kernels. It tastes very similar to store bought caramel corn. I might use a bit more glaze next time as some of the popcorn didn't have enough of the coating. Though I used vegetable oil, I highly recommend using coconut oil if you can because it will make your popcorn taste better. I think this product is priced very reasonably and one carton should last awhile.

Was really excited about trying this (due to the reviews) and devouring a bag of Trader Joe's carmel corn... What a disappointment :( This product has nothing on a cheap box of Cracker Jacks, (which taste sooo much better better then this product) and I am not a fan of Cracker Jacks. It cooked up fine in my Whirley popcorn popper. Used the proper ratio with the popcorn, but NO ONE in my household liked it. I will continue to treat myself with TJ's and toss this in the trash or send back if possible.

This is not what I expected. You'd have to use a lot of this in the popper to produce anything approaching a glaze but by that time some of it has burned and has fused to the bottom of the popper. For a thick glaze you will have to get out the old cookbook and make it from scratch.

I was expecting caramel like I use to be able to purchase around here at some of the stores. This stuff if horrible! I would have a hard time deciding what the flavor is, but you would never be able to tell it was caramel.

Got a Whirley-Pop popcorn maker. Saw this caramel glaze and thought we would try it. It's great! The popcorn is fluffy and the glaze is a light, crisp and delicious. Great taste, great texture. The Whirley-Pop keeps it mixed up so the coating is distributed nicely and does not burn. I also shake a little Flavacol on it to give it a bit of a salty buttery taste to give us sweet and salty perfection.

We are still experimenting with this product. So far we seem to be almost scorching the caramel powder, so the coating is not uniform and is a bit too brown. But I think that is because we don't have the hang of it... It is delicious, so we will keep trying.
