Wasn't sure if it was what I wanted because I could not reach the vendor and was unable to receive answers to my questions. This does appear to be solid and is actually exactly what I hoped it would be. This is to be used on the peak of my mailbox, and I haven't installed it as yet, so I really can't give an honest answer on whether or not it will endure the various weather situations.

Extended Barn Door Guide

I used it as an extended barn door guide, and it worked perfectly. The guide provided with the barn door was about an inch long; however, I needed to move the door further to expose a light switch so this was the answer. It has the rigidity to be a stable floor guide.
