Kingston's ValueRAM KVR333SO/512R is a 128M x 64-bit DDR333 CL2.5 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) memory module. The components on the module include sixteen 64M x 8-bit (16M x 8-bit x 4 Bank) DDR333 SDRAM in TSOP packages. This 200-pin SODIMM uses gold contact fingers and requires +2.5V. The product is shipped in retail packaging and includes installation instructions.

I installed this memory in my Inspiron 8200. It was recognized immediately by the system & worked perfectly for over a year. What more can you say about a RAM upgrade?
I'm back to buy a second one to upgrade my machine to a full Gig.

I have purchased 3 of these, 2 went to an older Toshiba Satellite laptop and one to a Dell Latitude. Works well and provided significant upgrade from 256Mb and 512Mb respectively for minimal cost.

Don't waste your money on any faster/more expensive RAM for an older computer. This is a perfect low cost upgrade to keep that old computer running another year or two.

I tried to install this RAM in my Inspiron 5100 and no Dice. Did some checking and it looks like the laptop will only accept single sided RAM. This RAM being double sided cause the laptop to not boot and just flash the lights by the power button 9 times. The package says it's tested to be 100% compliant so I'm not sure what they tested it on. Be sure to check and make sure you're laptop can accept double sided RAM.
