Can't really say how effective it was because the rut wasn't quite to that stage when our season ended this year. I like the sound of it and I really like the length and volume of the call. A lot of the smaller ones seem to stop short. This one gives a good, long call.

I alrady knew these little can calls weren't the greatest, but thought this "BIG CAN" might actually perform. The sounds quality is ok, but the level is too low to really be effective at all but the closest of range.

I hunt in Middle Georgia and in East and Middle Tennessee and bought the can when it first was introduced. I have not attracted a single deer using it in either state during the rut, pre-rut or post-rut. You don't need it to stop a deer - a vocalized grunt will do the trick every time. However, I guess the deer have not seen the ads about how they are supposed to come running to the sound of the can. Save your money.
