I bought the 'Alex color a flower bag' for my daughter for Christmas because she loves to color and this is something she could use too. She's been coloring it off and on for the past couple of weeks. She's got about half of it colored and the markers are running out of ink. I contacted Alex Toys about this and they very promptly responded and are going to send me another set. So if your markers do run out of ink contact Alex Toys and let them know, they were very friendly and helpful.

We received two of these for my 5 and 7 year olds in different patterns, they loved them and the bags are really sturdy. They have spent a lot of time coloring them and using them to carry books, etc. I recommend this product.

I have never written a review, but felt that this company deserved one for this product. This bag is perfect in every way. The colors look fantastic after applied. It's large enough for my daughter to put her sweater in it, along with her school work. It's a durable canvas with a strong adjustable handle. Everything was nicely packaged and arrived way before I expected it. It is not often I feel a purchase is perfect and that the company making and selling it put care into their products. My daughter is happily coloring away designing her own bag and it looks like it came that way. We plan on spraying it with some type of waterproofer to preserve the color after she's done. GREAT JOB ALEXTOYS!!!

Santa brought this bag for Christmas. Our girls were delighted! They spent 2 rainy afternoons coloring their bags, and they look fantastic, bright and vibrant, not cheaply scribbled in. The are roomy, sturdy, great quality and, of course, individualized. Very practical, one of the best Christmas gifts! After coloring the entire bag, the markers have plenty of life left for more projects! Would buy more as gifts.

Unfortunately, her twin four-year old brothers got their hands on the markers and colored all over her beautiful work. So we bought another bag!! Well worth it. What can you say about a bag that's not only stylish, but also provides your kids with hours of entertainment, thus keeping them out of your hair and giving you a break? Why, you say it's awesome, of course! LOL I purchased four of these bags as Christmas presents back in 2012, for my daughter and her cousins. All the girls to whom I gave the bags, including my daughter, loves them. The bag is approximately 13 inches wide, 10 inches high, and 4 inches deep. It's made of a durable canvas material in a lovely pink color, with a strong adjustable carrying strap in orange. There is a divider on the inside which separates a pocket from the rest of the bag. There is also a small pocket on the outside of the bag on one side. This outside pocket and the bag flap are decorated with a lovely floral design which can be colored. Provided with the bag is a set of 6 permanent colored markers (pink, purple, yellow, green, orange, and blue). This company makes several other Color a Bags with different designs as well as other styles of bags. The floral design is very pretty and once colored is quite eye catching. My daughter loves the fact that, although she and her cousins all have the same bag, each is unique due to the different color scheme applied by each girl. I highly recommend this bag. Just as stated in the product description, it's a perfect travel or rainy day activity, it encourages a stylish sense of fashion, and it enhances a child's imagination and learning development. Add to that the fact that the bag is durable, extremely well made, and functional, and you have a winner!

My daughter received this bag as a gift from a friend for her 8th birthday. She really loves arts and crafts and coloring so this was right up her alley. I was worried the markers wouldn't work well - as they tend to be cheaper when part of these chidren's "kits" sometimes - but they actually work really great. They weren't dry at all, they are nice and bright and seem to hold up just fine! You get a very pretty assortment of colors and they all look great together so you can use them all throughout the bag. My daughter works a little on it every night and can't wait until she is finished so she can start using this as her school bookbag and she's really proud she did it herself. It really does look nice as you color it in. Any crafty girl would really enjoy this bag.

I bought this for my five yr old grand-niece for Christmas and my sister said she started working on it that day. Altho the purse does say 7+ yrs old, she is a very precocious child and loves art and coloring so I imagine that is going to be one awesome purse. Can't wait to see it.
