The oil level in the steering reservoir jumps up & down as you turn the wheel, so you need a buffer of fluid when bleeding it. Best I can tell the pump end is a BPS 1/2-16, which I couldn't find easily elsewhere, and the other end threads to the oil bottle. So, I ponied up the $17 (ugh!) and got this. It worked as advertised, but I find it hard to accept that something as simple as this would cost so much. it doesn't help the brand image of Teleflex and SeStar to charge so much for something that allows us to buy their $20+/quart fluid!

This tool is a total ripoff, but you need it. It should cost less than $5, or at its price point it should have a swivel fitting on it so you can thread it in without twisting the hose up. But good luck refilling yur helm without this. Helpful hint: forget the stupid pin to let air in the bottle. Take an empty bottle, cut the bottom out, thread that on so you don't spill fluid everywhere, zip tie it to something to hold it, and then fill it up with fluid. You can easily add more from the bottle if necessary and without unscrewing everything and making a mess.
