I came across this shampoo at a hotel in New York and liked it so much that I tracked it down, and am now on my 3rd bottle. Perhaps my reaction is different from the other 2 folks that didn't care for it because I live in a fairly humid climate by the coast and that causes my hair to react differently, or perhaps it is because I have hair that is not very thick and not very long. (I'm a guy, and I would guess that my hair ranges from about 3 inches to about 3/4 inch long.)

I absolutely love the fragrance. It is somewhat astringent and refreshing -- it smells a bit like clean mountain air, and it gives me the sense that it is cleansing my hair in a natural way. Hard to express, and it is only an impression, but isn't that part of why some of us like particular fragrances in our soaps and shampoos -- because of the impression and pleasure that it leaves?

After I read the negative reviews, I tried the conditioner to see how it reacted with my hair, and I liked it too. It says it has olive oil in it, and that's what it smells like -- again, in a refreshing way.

By way of comparisons, I've been using Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo and "The Conditioner" and, at least on my hair, I don't find that there is a significant difference in the way my hair reacts (though I should add that the Mitchell Conditioner is a bit strong for my taste, so I apply it and rinse it, more or less, which is not in accord with the instructions). Yet there is a BIG difference in the way I react aesthetically to the fragrances. I don't really care for the Paul Mitchell fragrances, and I really enjoy the Red Flower Ocean fragrances, and find them refreshing to use.

Everyone's hair reacts differently with shampoos and my hair does not like the Red Flower line. I have mildly course, curly hair and this shampoo makes my hair feel like a brillo pad. I've tried it twice now with no success. The conditioner is even worse.
The fragrance is wonderful and I like that it's organic but unfortunately, those are the only two positives that I can mention about this brand.

Just another overpriced trendy organic product.

This is an incredible line. Absolutely incredible for your hair. I discovered this in the American Airlines Admirals Club and can't go back to any other brand! 5* for sure
