I like this towel, it stops me slipping as much which makes me feel more comfortable in my practice. It's definitely worth the $$ and had I known about this solution I would not have invested in an expensive Jade mat as I'm certain this towel would still do its job when put on top of a cheaper mat.

A tip someone told me is to moisten the towel before you start your practice, it grips better when it's damp, so I wet the top and bottom (where my hands and feet will go) before I start.

I like the color and it hasn't faded yet though Ive probably only washed it a dozen times or so

Prior to getting this yoga towel, I would slip and slide on my mat during yoga, making holding the positions very difficult. The towel prevents that, plus it absorbs any sweat that may drip off you. Functionally it is a great towel. Aesthetically, it is nice to have the Deity Ganesha present on the towel. However, it is disconcerting because it is considered disrespectful should you happen to step on the image--something I clearly did not consider before making the purchase.

Having to concentrate on my yoga poses and worry about my feet not touching the deity are too stressful! I would recommend avoiding a towel with a picture of a deity on it.

Yogitoes are the only yoga towels I use! These were the original, and they remain the best. The sticky grips on bottom cannot be surpassed; I wash cold normal and dry on low heat. No problems. I have 6 towels to use 6 days per week; my towels have lasted now for years (I have never replaced any; my first Yogitoes towel is now around 8 years old). Cannot recommend this product enough for its superior quality!

I use my Yogitoes towels daily for hot yoga, but I have also found them really helpful for travel (when I don't want to pack an entire yoga mat; even the light, travel size mats are bulky). For travel, the towel works well if you place it over a carpet (so the grips don't poke you), and if you give it a light mist to activate stickiness.

Another tip for hot yogis is that it really helps to hang dry your towel immediately after practice instead of throwing it directly into the laundry hamper (unless you plan to wash right away, which is optimal. But if you practice everyday, that's not really an environmentally-friendly option). You just want the towel dry before throwing it in your hamper to prevent stinky odor from settling into the fibers. The towels are made with an anti-microbial fiber, but they will still stink if you routinely soak it in sweat and let it sit in a ball of sweat for days before washing. The towels dry fast, so I just hang it on the shower rod overnight, and in the morning, throw the towel into the hamper.

I know that these are expensive, but if you sweat as much as I do during hot yoga- then it's worth the investment! I just bought a second to keep in rotation with the "lapiz" one I bought a month ago. I haven't had any issues with it slipping on my mat and it prevents my hands from slipping around in downward dog. If you're thinking about getting one- go for it!

I debated purchasing this item for a long time because of the high cost. It is worth it! I think it is helpful even in regular yoga classes (non hot yoga) to keep your hands and feet in place. You DO need to get it a bit wet for it to work best, but that is not a big deal. The only downfall is it bleeds like crazy in the wash. My dryer is now blue. I washed my separately so no other items were ruined, but if you can say no to all the pretty colors and get white, I'd recommend it. Worth the price!

I love my Yogitoes Skidless Yoga Towel, I have one and bought another for a family member. It helps absorb perspiration especially in heated yoga classes, as well as prevents hands and feet from slipping. Best to lay flat over your mat then lightly spray it with water before class where your hands and feet will be in downward dog pose. I hand wash this after every class and air dry. Do not put it in the dryer, it will shrink!
