Ok, I admit to being of the older type. I also am an outdoorsman and I get into all kinds of things that cause my back to itch. What to do? I have a tree near the house, but when I try to scratch my back, the bark tears holes in my undershirt. I have a post holding up the porch, but it's old and who would pick the splinters out of my back? I saw one of these backscratchers on Amazon and my or my it's REALLY TERRIFIC. First of all it's HIGH QUALITY and made to last. It's not like those silly thin ones you get for free when you pop a balloon at the county fair with a dart. It's heavy duty but finely made and beautifully finished. Now where do they find bamboo like that? Anyway, my back itches are over and I really love this simple device.

My boyfriend was always asking me to scratch his back and I didn't particularly like doing it. Thenn I saw this great backscratcher and grabbed it for a great price and quality. He loves it and I no longer have to scratch his back. Great quality and price. I loveit and so does he.

It was a perfect birthday gift for my husband. I don't have to scratch his back near as much as I use to. He still comes to me time to time with the bamboo scratcher and wants me to use for him, I think that is called lazy. The box it came in was a little abused from the mail handling, but luckily it didn't miss it up. It was a great purchase.

These are exactly what I wanted, a scratcher without a bunch of beads and junk hanging all over it. If you can't scratch with these you have alligator skin and need barbed-wire. If you don't like the slots be creative and file notches, spikes or fingers in them. Put a knife edge on it if you want to draw blood. It's bamboo, just trim it if you don't like the shape. Just don't complain, it's your fault if you can't scratch your back. Buying the 2 pack is much cheaper than one and you have a spare to keep in a second place.

The teeth on this back scratcher are too short. It is heavy so it will not break but
it is not the best choice for a shoe horn since the handle is too short for those who
cannot bend over and too long if you are using it from a sitting position. I bought
a long handled shoe horn from a local shoe store that works better and have
ordered a different back scratcher that appears to have longer teeth on it.
