Not much to say here: they're aluminum snap caps, they feed and cycle like live ammo, they're nearly indestructible. I like these over plastic snap caps very much. I couldn't tell you how many thousands of dry fires my snap caps have seen but they still work flawlessly.

The only negative comments I have are:

A) The red finish wears over time. Not a big deal, really. Just something to note.

2) Your weapon's steel extractor will (naturally) wear the aluminum case rim over time. Again, not a big deal, just dress the burrs with some 600 wet/dry sandpaper and carry on.

Buy lots to keep up your trigger press and weapon manipulation skills. They also work very well for mixing randomly in a magazine of live ammo to simulate a dead primer for tap/rack/bang drills. Highly useful!

When I trained on Glock handguns we used the St Action Pro dummy rounds (also available on Amazon), which work great, and are much cheaper. They're also incredibly durable (used in large LE Firearms training classes).

However the gun shop I bought my little revolver from sold the A-zoom brand so I went ahead and bought a box of 6. I'm gonna be honest. In the short time that I've had these I've been pleased, but a snap cap is not a technologically advanced piece of equipment. It's a snap cap, they fulfill a simple purpose, and these do the job just fine. I can't speak to their durability since I haven't had them that long.

One positive thing of note that I didn't think about until I started practicing with them is the color of the round. While the St Action Pros are great, reliable, cheap snap caps, I realized that if I had them loaded in my revolver I would not be able to tell the difference between them and live rounds without opening the cylinder or looking down the chamber :S

With the A-zooms I can take one look at the edges peeking out of the cylinder (in good light) and notice the reddish brown color immediately.

I don't do a lot of dry shooting but these fit perfect and are great for "using" your firearm while away from the range. I use these to test the trigger pull and become more comfortable with my firearm. Quality seems very high and the contrast color from standard ammo is nice.

These snap caps for the .38/.357 will allow you to dry fire your revolver without doing any damage. Allows you to learn where the trigger breaks and helps when you are training someone prior to use of live ammo. This way they don't get the "flinching" that develops when they are new. I've used them to teach my wife with my .357 and it made it easy to show her the difference between single action style and double action style. They can be used inside (just really, really make sure there isn't any live ammo!) and can also be used to assist in sight training.

These caps are a close size comparison to live rounds. The biggest difference is the weight. These are much lighter than live rounds. They are great for dry-firing your weapon, but the weight is to light to practice speed loading. It doesn't feel like the real thing. Over all I like the product and would buy more, but I'd like to see the manufacture add some weight to the rounds to make for a more realistic feel.
