5.0 out of 5 stars You Do Not Have To Deplete Your Savings When You Buy Widescreens, November 11, 2008
By Jay R. Adler "Music Critic" (Massapequa,NY) - See all my reviews

November 11, 2008

I bought this AOC LCDTV 32" today to replace an unworkable model distributed by a notable competitor. First out of the gate, I saved almost $200.00 and after setup, I realized that the picture quality and features were actually superior to the counterpart. I do not want to imply that the AOC brand, which is continuing to make major inroads into the American market is small time. AOC is doing very well in Europe and Radio Shack is experiencing significant success with its AOC inventory. Interestingly enough, having previously purchased an Akai 32", I have noticed that Radio Shack corporate buyers seem to be adept at securing products that are not widely marketed by other retailers but may be superior in quality and very much lower in pricing. The bottom line is this, when you shop for an LCD television, remember that the product name should not be your sole consideration, analyze the entire scenario-you may end up saving a fair amount of money for a better functioning product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great TV for the price..., December 1, 2008
By R. Ooi "SoccerManiac..." (St Paul, MN United States) - See all my reviews

For that price($380) you can't go wrong with this. It was easy to setup(pretty much plug and play) but you need to attach the base to the TV with 6 screw. Picture looks good on Standard channels and great on HD (amazed that DirecTV has universal remote code for this TV). With contrast ratio of 1,500:1; it is better than most comparable brands. This works great being PC monitor too. I have this TV in my loft area and it fits really well.

Cons: No PIP, one HDMI port and speakers are a little weak.

Watch a football game on HD; it BLOWS. If you are looking for a budget and decent TV, the L32W761 fits you.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT BUY!, December 27, 2008
By J. Arthur (North Carolina) - See all my reviews

This is a great first HD TV! Awesome picture quality, and easy to use. I looked around at other TVs outside my budget, and smaller like 26". I came across this, and couldn't be happier! To me, it's better that some of the name brand TVs, and you can not find a better price on a 32" flat screen. The only issue I have is, that it only has one HDMI input, which is not an issue for me yet, because I don't have anything to hook up to it. There are probably adapters on the market to allow to you to hook additional HDMI inputs if needed.
