First of all I did the installation all by myself and ill i have to say i had no problems doing it. It took me around an hour and a half to complete from start to finish. My check engine never turned on so no problems so far. The increased horsepower is nominal but you can feel and hear the difference. Man can you hear the difference! Also my gas consumption has decreased resulting in more mpg! If you have a Mazda 6 and looking for an inexpensive CAI look no further than the INJEN RD6070BLK.

I have a 2005 Mazda 6 S 3.0 V6.

This intake sounds great and performs beautifully.

Although the pictures in the instruction manual and the actual product do differ slightly.

Instead of connecting the one-way vacuum hose to a tiny nipple on the intake (as in the pictures) there is no welded nipple and what you need to do is remove said hose from the vehicle and cover the origin with a supplied cap (as per the instructions). You might need a small knife to remove the hose fully.

My check engine light did reappear once, but I reset it by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 15 mins. Even if the CEL were to remain on, from what I hear, the intake is causing any damage(Mazdas' computer systems are apparently just sensitive to change). The light is just unsightly, as well as really annoying to have to explain to passengers lol

2004 Honda Civic coupe. This is my 3rd intake setup. I bought the black one.
First was AEM short ram = ok, until bracket broke.
Second was AEM V2 (short ram for my model car) = sounded deep and mean; better pick-up in lower range revs.
The Injen CAI sounds a miniscule amount less aggressive, but unless you've had the AEM V2 and this, you would never be able to tell.
I feel much smoother throttle response through all rpm's. I feel a noticeable pick-up in 2nd gear. It pulls harder in 2nd. Keep in mind that I also have headers, a high-flow cat, custom Ø2.250 piping and a muffler (Vibrant exhaust 1145; look for my review on it!).
The tone sounds great and with my driver's side window rolled down, I can hear it sucking up air. I love that sound!
Installation was easy for my car. I did not have to remove my front bumper. I only needed to remove my battery out of the way and everything fit nicely. This will vary on a different car. My friend has a 2009 Honda Accord sedan and he needed to remove his front bumper.
My intake has the C.A.R.B. sticker on it. My friends (2009 Accord) was missing his C.A.R.B. sticker and he will have to ask Injen to provide him one.
