    After a very long waiting period, I finally received my chic shaper. Not one to usually be drawn in by infomercials, I found myself hooked, so to speak. Finding it at half price at Amazon was even better. I found I could not adjust the straps to make them any looser. I am very full figured and was hoping to find something that would not only lift me but support my back as well. The chic shaper did do this, however, breathing might be a necessary thing. Maybe it is just too small for me, and perhaps wearing a sport bra is the wrong thing to do. It rode up under my breasts as well. I fear if I wash it I will never get it on again. So, I am going to return it. I would recommend it maybe if you are small to medium size. Otherwise, no. Okay, I learned the hard way-don't believe the infomercial.

    I was super hesitant when I bought this partially due to a lot of the reviews I read. Here is my run down:

    1) Order a size larger than you think you would. I took this recommendation from other reviews and it is very true. I'll give you my stats for comparison: 5'8, 195, 36DDD. I ordered a Large, it fits perfectly! *According to the size chart I should be a medium...def wouldn't work for me in a medium.

    2) This lifts the ladies up for sure. I'm 31 and my girl haven't sat this high since I was 18, makes me feel younger and perkier. :-P

    3) Here's the deal. You have to remember two things when it comes to buying products like this:
    A) This is in a under bra form. It is going to push up your boobs, not going to avoid that.
    B) This is in a bra form. This is not going to sit in a way that is going to completely pull your shoulders back...and it is slightly stretchy.
    C) Your posture isn't great, by even considering buying this for posture support you are admitting that (I do). The muscles in your back are not used to be "upright", you will be sore for a few days at the least while they adjusting to standing/sitting up straight. So do not be surprised in the least when you are sore.

    Here is the deal with my opinion on this item:
    Did it pull my shoulders back? I'm not so sure. Did it lift my breasts up? Yes. Did I find myself standing and sitting up straighter while I have this on? YES.

    The way this sits across your back you feel it and for me it was a subtle but constant reminder of my stance. This also has a good two inch band under your breasts. If you are like myself and overweight when you aren't standing or sitting straight up you can practically feel the underwire in your bra...you definitely feel the hook are on your skin.     Since there is really no sizing info on the Chic Shapers (or at least not accurate/understandable info), and there have been quite a number of complaints about how they run small, I thought I would share what I've learned from buying a Large and an Extra Large. The Large,in black, purchased from luckyimport 2527, says it is sizes 40-42. I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. It actually measures 29 inches from end to end. My rib cage measures 33 inches (or a 38 bra-size). This item does do a good job helping with posture, but as is, it was pretty much impossible to breathe. I got a bra-extender, which helped, but the straps still cut into my arms a bit because the proportions are off (so even though the band size is larger, and I could breathe, the placement of the straps is still a bit too close together). I would also like to note, that when this arrived (and shipping was fast), it was not actually the 'Chic Shaper' brand, but 'Coco's Secret Shaper' (and is actually slightly better quality material wise than the Chic Shaper one). The Extra Large, in beige, purchased from SCS Collectibles, Inc, says it is sizes 44-46. From end to end, it measures 33 inches. This one fits and works just fine for me. Also, this one was actually a 'Chic Shaper' and even came with an extra bra extender.

    It definately does what it shows when it comes to creating a great image! I had a hard time believing what I saw in the mirror. My chest was up where they belonged and my back was as straight as my chiropractor would like it to be. BUT>>> It was so snug that it moved 4 of my ribs out of place under my chest and it moved 3 above, where the shoulder straps pull. They say pain is beauty, but it's not worth it when you end up in the ER thinking you're having a heart attack because of the movement of so many ribs. It has taken multiple vistis to my chiropractor and massage therapist to correct this damage. I am normally a 36 so I bought the 36-38. I had it on the loosest setting as well, so it wasn't like I was trying to slip a size 10 body into a size 3 shirt.

    I wore this to work and I thought it really helped with my posture. However, it does get uncomfortable after ~4 hours. The shoulder bands kept flipping over and rubbed against my skin after awhile. I would recommend this product but don't wear it for too long.

    This is great with my posture, centering and lifting boobs BUT the strap is very rough... (not good material) so much so I feel my skin irritated within 20 minutes of wearing it... I'm looking for another one with smoother straps and im getting rid of this one.
