From the picture, it looks like I was ordering 6 pencils, but in reality, I was ordering only one!! $8 is rather pricey for one pencil. It was hard to tell from the description of the product that it wasn't 6 pencils, but only one.

This is my favorite type of mechanical pencil because the tip of the pencil is made out of metal. I press harder than the average person when it comes to writing, and I've broken a lot of plastic tipped mechanical pencils in the past. Very few pencils in the market have a long eraser such as this one, so that's a big plus. This is only worth the extra money if you don't lose your pencil or let anyone borrow it. They might take your nicer pencil or forget to return it. The rubber grip reduces the amount of fatigue on the fingers as well.
