The Man has been studying martial arts since he was 5 and has taught for over 25 years now so when we adopted a little rescue dog we thought it would be cute to get him a gi top so he could match his Daddy. I gambled on the sizing based on the reviews and info on the product page, but I was a little off and I didn't realize it would have leg straps. When we put it on him the leg straps basically immobilized him to where he could not move, almost like straight jack effect. Overall it is cute and the upper portion fit him just fine. I simply re-hemmed it by cutting off the lower portion where the straps are and it works great. Our dog is a 16 lb. min pin, for reference.

Way to large for my 8.5 lb Maltese. I went with the size chart and recommended for Maltese, a medium. It's actually even too large for my 15 lb Shih-tzu. I also think it should have a piece of velcro on the part that overlaps at the dogs chest, between their front legs.

This would have been an excellent item if....The extra large would have at least fit our medium size dog.....My son really wanted a uniform for his dog for Christmas...We did get it in plenty of time, but the size is way off....Our dog is less than 60 lbs....
