I am very pleased with the bluetooth adapter BU-30 for my Canon MX850 All-in-One printer. It prints quickly and there doesn't seem to be any delay at all compared to having the printer plugged into my laptop. The only drawback,which is that of technology itself, is that you can only use the print function of the all-in-one. If you want to scan anything, it has to be plugged directly into the pc, which to me is fine since you have to be next to the scanner anyways to place the scanned item onto the scanner.

I originally purchased the bluetooth adapter because my office was my kitchen table while my two children, 4 years and 2 years old, ran the household. Whenever I needed to print anything I had to take my laptop to the printer to print, which was very inconvenient. I bought the adapter and now I can be anywhere in my house and print without any delay. I have since reclaimed my office space but still use the bluetooth adapter. It works well with my husbands laptop also and has defenitely made it easier to share workspace with him if he has to be on his pc too. Before the adapter, I would have to move my computer so that he could attach to the printer. Now, he can stay sitting at his own desk without bothering my work.

I've been using this Bluetooth adapter on my Canon MP470 all-in-one printer with my 13 in MacBook, and I had absolutely no problem attaching, installing and printing without wires. I was up and printing within five minutes. Very few steps were involved with settup, the most challenging part was finding the port on the printer where I was to plug in the adapter, but I quickly found that it is located on the bottom right of the front of the printer.

Once plugged in, the adapter has a blue LED light that illuminates to show that it is properly connected. The LED light blinks when bluetooth information is being received, letting you know that its properly receiving documents that you've sent to print over the bluetooth connection.

Lastly, the adapter is smaller than I expected (slightly smaller than a pack of checking gum), so it is very unobstructive and inconspicuous to leave attached while the printer sits on my desk.

Note: I'm using this adapter while connecting from a MacBook computer that has built-in bluetooth capabilities. Many newer laptops (and now some desktops, too) have built-in bluetooth connectivity, but you should check to make sure your computer has this. If you don't, you will need to buy another adapter for your computer as well. I have a Cannon MP610 and a Dell XPS1530 with Bluetooth installed. I followed the instructions for Bluetooth device installation without success. I found a tip on the internet to register the printer prior to the installtion, which I did. Presto! It worked immediately. Hope this helps somebody. The BU-30 works fine. It would have been nice to have some instructions in the box for the BU-30.
