I've used these items to turn my grounded items into non-grounded ones for products which don't really need to be grounded, like small electronics etc. The whole reason I am writing this review however, is to inform the public that these items can be purchased at your local Home Depot hardware store for about 77¢ each for virtually the same quality. Why spend over $20 on an item when you can get the same two items at about $1.50... do the math, don't get robbed.

The product page displays an overmolded plug housing. This type of design is sealed and very mechanically strong. However, the actual product shipped has two housing halves that snap together. These are weak, flimsy, and not at all sealed.

the instruction says the circle metal part that was suppose to attached to the mid plate screw on your outlet, but the metal circle part is made way higher than the screw hole and is impossible to attached it to the outlet per instruction. see attached photo.

Prong was placed in socket and an appliance plugged in. When the appliance plug was removed from the appliance adapter, the shell of the adapter came off (!!!!!), leaving the metal prongs inside the adapter sticking out into the air where they could easily be touched, causing a SHOCK HAZARD!

This is not a full-molded product - it snaps (and un-snaps!!) together.

The Male prongs are two different sizes. I bought this specifically needing 2 same-sized prongs and it absolutely does not work. Not only is the left side wider, it is wider throughout (not just at the end) and can not be trimmed. The female inputs are also two different sizes; again left side much wider than the right. 2 stars for incomplete product description causing me to waste $4 bucks.

Most of these things are solid rubber, these are not. They are hollow plastic shells that fall apart for no apparent reason, leaving "HOT" leads openly exposed.

Obviously, UL Approval seems unlikely.

The item received is not the same as the picture. In the picture, the grounding-screw-hole looks like it would fit appropriately. In the actual product, the grounding-screw-hole is about 2-3mm higher. This makes it impossible to insert a screw through the grounding-screw-hole and into the center of the outlet cover. Without the grounding screw, there is zero point to this adapter, because an ungrounded three prong outlet is electrically the same as a two prong outlet.

For an item you can get in a two-pack for a few dollars at any corner drug store, Amazon's price here is ridiculous. In desperate times, maybe it makes sense, but you can get it faster and cheaper on your own.
