About Makita's 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Tool Series
As one of the pioneers driving the cordless tool revolution, Makita changed the game with its breakthrough 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Series. Three years after its debut, Makita's LXT Series has grown from seven to over 35 tools, providing a wide range of cordless solutions for professional tradesmen. I purchased this combo kit approx 2 years ago, and these tools are powerful workhorses. I have a fencing company and they get used nearly every day. I am still using the original set of batteries that came with the kit. Still getting full productive use of the tools from these great batteries. (I have other brands,-- DeWalt, Milwaukee, Bosch, and I'm sorry to say they can't measure up to the Makita.) Any of my employees who use these tools are equally as impressed as I am, and are quick to grab the Makita over the others available to them. I would recommend this kit to anyone who is concerned with having a high quality, dependable set of cordless tools.

As a professional builder, I have owned many different cordless tools. Most were adequate to good, these are excellent. They are powerful, light, ergonomically designed and hold their charge. Previous cordless saws I've had were wimpy, not something I'd rely on for a deck job or to take on the roof to cut plywood. This one is exactly what I hoped it would be. Well worth the price.
