After doing a lot of research and reading reviews on other car ionizers, I settled on this one. I was skeptical that it would work, but I was tired of "air fresheners" that made my car smell worse after I used them. After a day of being plugged in, the cigarette and leather smell was *gone* from my car, and according to some friends my car's interior didn't smell like anything - no scent at all.

Unfortunately, it completely stopped working after 3 months. 3 out of 5 stars (would have been 5/5 if it hadn't broken).

I'm not a skeptic.....i'm a realist! I'm rational. I'm perhaps pessimistic, but this thing really does take the smells out of my bfs vehicle! He smokes & i'm so sensitive to the smell it can make me throw up at times!
This ionizer takes care of that! :)

I'm not sure what product was received by the other folks that have written reviews about this product but I do know that my Ionizer was a real DUD.

First of all you need a really DEEP 12v socket in order to plug it in - take a look at the picture - see the little silver button on the side? That is how deep your socket must be in order to turn the Ionizer on. Then you have to constantly adjust it in the socket in order for it to stay ON.

Finally it has such little power that it would take about six weeks for it to purify the air in an SUV, possibly longer.

Not what I expected until I realized that it was made in China. Truly another piece of imported garbage. It is a very expensive piece of plastic junk.

Buy American - if you can find it.

So Far so good. This is working. It took odor right out of the car. I've only used it once. If it lasts, it is well worth it.
I will use this for the days when the window is fogging up and I get sick with defrost (outside air) on. Hopefully, we can keep the defrost on the windows.

Can't beat the cost. If this lasts, I will buy a couple more.

Do not expect instant air cleaning or some fresh scent. I will take a little before you realize thee is no smell. For the price I think it is a good buy. Definitely better than the smelly air freshener that just cover one smell with another.

This is the best item. If you smoke in your car, it really cleans the air. I have a new car and smoke in it, after putting this in, the new leather smell is there. People say they can't smell the smoke when they get in. Great item for the price.
