These point protectors do a nice job of helping you save stitches. I also bought them for another purpose, an idea that I borrowed from a friend in beading classes. I put spools of my One G or Nymo thread onto a knitting needle, with one of these on each end, and it keeps all my thread spools tidy.

I mention this in case it helps other beaders.

I have about 8 pairs of these point protectors because I use them on all my projects as well as to protect the tips of some needles in storage.

Pros:
* Fit the needle sizes I use the most (US 0-6)
* Grippy, wont slide off accidentally
* Small, wont take up much space when not in use

Cons:
* Small and light-colored, easy to lose in carpet (or to a pair of devious cats)

I love point protectors and am amazed at how many people that I know who don't even own them. They are a must for me to not lose my work when I put it down. I recently purchased these for my daughters since they were constantly having that problem and with little hands, it is very hard for them to fix it! I have used other point protectors and always seem to lose them. These work perfectly and have fit every type of needle that I use (bamboo, acrylic, and metal). I find that they stand out more than some of the traditional ones, since they have extended points. Great purchase for the knitting lover in your family!

I found these useful when using DPNs on very small needles. Sort of like training wheels for knitting needles for klutzes like me, but they stopped the stitches from dropping off as I am learning to knit socks on short and tiny DPNs. Also makes the empty needle easier to find when I put my knitting down.

Have also used these with circular needles when transporting lace projects. They stay put and do exactly what they are designed to do. Nifty little knitting aids.

Long knitting needles look like large, poke you in the eye, weapons. With 11 you grandkids, I needed something to keep the lethal looking ends covered and keep my stitches on the needle. These are small wonders that cover both needs. They fit a pretty good range of tips and have not stretched out with use.

Great--for smaller needles than I can comfortably use (although I am using them). I have to figure out something for my BIG knitting needles. (Marshmallows are NOT the answer.) Rubber bands are so inelegant, but I guess will have to do until I invent something, or find out what others may have discovered that I haven't...

These work great. At any craft store you can buy the same thing, only my craft store was out of stock on this item. Had I waited, I could have used a coupon at the store for this item. Could have waited. Anyway, these are my go-to knitting needle stoppers, regardless of where I purchase them.

I hope that I’m not intruding into the arts & crafts world, with a woodworker’s review. I bought these Clover Point Protectors to slip over the sharp points of a set of scratch awls (a tool used to f.e. mark a spot on a piece of wood before boring holes), which are hanging on a peg board of my woodworking shop. On more than one occasion, I grabbed an awl, without careful attention, only to poke the sharp point of the awl into a finger followed by a few choice words. I scanned the Amazon site and settled on these. An excellent choice. The swiftly shipped Clover Point Protectors fit perfectly over the sharp points of the awls, protecting a (maybe not so) handy man from unfortunate experiences. While this review may not be helpful to arts & crafts aficionados, it is meant to be a genuine and positive assessment (as well as a possible alternative use for the Clover Point Protectors.)
