This product had 3 good reviews and then the questioning one about if this was the same product as Hydro Tools poorly rated product. Because this item looked perfect for our needs at a good price, but hesitant because of this question, I called the owner of Outdoor Lamp Company, Frank, who makes this product. He was very nice and helpful and also surprised himself that there was such a similar but poorly made product competing with his. Upon inspection of the Hydro Tools product, he clarified that it was a rip off copy of his product, which he manufactures himself and stands behind. Don't hesitate to purchase the product if from Outdoor Lamp Company as it is legit.

Easy to set up but it leaked at the top notch where the screw is. I called the company and they were very nice and suggested that I use the glue instead. They offered to send me a new one if it didn't fix it. Once glued that took care of the problem. I don't leave the water faucet on when it is not in use only when I have an afternoon that we are using it. But it serves the purpose and is a super outdoor shower to cool off. Foot washer works well too. Would recommend it and the price is right! Last year they were more expensive.

This is a good product. I bought it to use for one summer since we're currently living in a house that doesn't have an outdoor shower. When I first got it, I have to admit I looked at it and thought "sheesh, I could make it for a fraction of what it cost," but for once I decided to just go with it and am glad I did. It's well thought out, the foot spigot is very convenient for getting sand off after the beach and using just cold water to wash off during the summer months isn't an issue. And realistically, there are a number of parts that aren't readily available at the hardware store. It's priced well for the quality and what it does.

Even though I live in a very windy area, I haven't filled the base so to retain the portability. When it's attached to the hose, it doesn't topple over. It's light enough and not that bulky that I could see using this with a popup tent camper.

I've never done any plumbing at all, but I thought it was quick and easy to put together - it took maybe 10 minutes. Just be careful that everything is glued well (they even include the glue). I didn't do a great job gluing the first time and then missed one of the joints the second. It pops off like a pipe rocket when the water is flowing, which is hilarious except at the moment it happens. Now that operator error has been corrected, it performs well. Even though my new home will have an installed outdoor shower, I'm going to keep it as a second shower.

Much like the most recent reviews I received a product with a push/pull locking hose connector (orange in color) that would not connect to either a female or male end of a standard garden hose. As Amazon reviews are always a great source of knowledge I scoured the postings in hope that I was somehow missing an extra part and/or confirmation that I wasn't suddenly afflicted with a loss of common sense. Seeing that the only solution certain people found was to cut the pvc as well as the hose I decided to contact the company direct and see what the heck was going on.

After a quick internet search I located the Outdoor Lamp Company web site and called the number on site. Imagine my surprise when I wasn't automatically directed to an answering service but was answered by a live human being on the other end. And as this was a Sun afternoon I was blown away when Frank quickly introduced himself as the owner of the company.

I explained that I was having some difficulty with the assembly and as I began to explain my problems with the hose connection it quickly became evident that what I was describing was NOT a piece that he was familiar with. He then gave me his personal cell and I sent some quick pics so he could see what I and apparently a lot of recent orders were dealing with. After receiving the pics Frank assured me that this was not part of his product design. Apparently one of his distributers took it upon themselves to substitute different pieces without his knowledge. Needless to say the man was less than happy and thanked me for bringing it to his attention.

use it to clean TX heat and dirt off from working on poor man's ranch, not pool-side but pond-side..... that old movie comedy line...." pool or pond, ....pond would be better for 'you' "..... as I noted a few others use it like this from their reviews.... for that purpose, perfect!... i was going to build my own from 1" PVC, but saw this for the price of the valves, shower head, pipe and stand, so..... plenty stable with H2O in base, but i put it next to a stone column in case,. Love the foot/leg rinse option. for you haters go to that big box store,HD.., TAKE THE PLASTIC HOSE CONNECTION with you, ... there is a PLASTIC QUICK CONNECT THAT MATCHES THIS PIECE but it is a FEMALE, which is what you need to attach your regular GARDEN HOSE-- AS IS..... it costs $1.99 at H. Depo. it is green/black/gry in color,.. so you will not have to modify any hose, ...unrelated but, if you have the time and inclination.. shop other quick connects for your hoses, they are awesome for gardeners or couples who fight over hose use.. me pressure washer, wife landscaping stuff, etc...

The product was not set up to simply plug my garden hose into it and never worked. The product is weak. It fell once and the pvc shower head attachment broke off.
