I am a professional artist and this is one of my favorite art tools. I hate having to get up and clean out my water every little bit or having to have a huge jar of water so that it doesn't cloud up so fast I have to clean it ever little while. The Rinse Well makes it so that you can use minimal water to clean your brushes and you can always have fresh clean water. You can buy extra reservoirs for it which makes it really convenient for working outdoors and again, using the least amount of water with the biggest results. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone interested in watercolor, ink, or acrylic work.

This was a great purchase. I am a face painter and it comes in extremely handy when I have events to work. I need to keep clean water constantly and it's difficult when you have to keep getting up to get fresh water with a long line of antsy kids. One of the best investments I've made since my face painting career began.

I use this for face paints & acrylics, works great! I love it, it cuts down on a lot of rinse time. P.S. if you notice water leaking into bottom, just make sure to clean the blue rubber release stopper in the bottom. From top & bottom to make sure you get the residue of paint off the entire surface of the rubber.

I'm a face painter and don't want the customers to have to look at dirty water. Love that I can constantly have clean water and LOVE the idea of the dirty water being "hidden" until it can be disposed of.

First of all, I love the premise behind this gadget! In fact, the Masterson RinseWell would get four stars from me alone, but sadly, Amazon, are responsible for taking one of those away.

Here's how it works and why I've given this rating:
The large water bottle drips through to the well where you can clean your paint brushes and then press the button to 'flush' the dirty water away. In theory, it's great and I love having a constant supply of fresh water to keep my brushes clean and my watercolors vibrant. There are a few snags though... When you refill the water bottle and turn it upside down so it feeds into the well, sometimes it doesn't do that. The water barely flows out as it should, then stops. It's a minor problem through and a quick tap on the side of the bottle fixes things and the water begins to flow again. I also found, it doesn't matter whether you use this with acrylics or watercolor; a paint residue forms everywhere under the waterline while in use. This means if you want to flush the dirty water completely, you have to use your brush to agitate it and wipe over everywhere to get the next supply of water to be completely clean. This often takes me at least 2 flushes which is a tad annoying. However, I like that there are ridges in the well to help remove paint from your brush and the water bottle itself is really large, giving you a plentiful supply. Also, despite what others say, I actually like the brush holes. I know they're bigger than what are needed by most but they prevent you from the bad habit of placing the bristles of your brushes downwards into the bottom of a jar of water while you paint.

All in all, it's a great product and I'm very happy I bought it!

Oh and about that one star deduction:
Oh dear. Amazon, how I love you.

This is the perfect desk top painter's friend. It would not be good for big projects and large brushes, but for the card maker and small project creator, it's perfect! At first the water didn't want to refill, but a couple taps and it is working just fine now. One thing they could improve on is the size of the well (larger please!) and the holes for the brushes. The holes for the brushes are so small and shallow it's almost not worth putting them in there. They are tippy and always falling out!

This thing ROCKS!!

It hemmed and hawed over buying this for a bit, while I think the $15 (I paid at the time) is extremely reasonable, I kept thinking of other things I could spend my money on and weren't my recycled jars just fine? Well I ended up with a gift certificate and decided what the heck why not, caved and bought it. I am not disappointing nor do I ever foresee being so.

It saves you multiple containers of water on your work table, thus giving you more room for other art necessities, like a cup of tea or coffee without accidentally dipping your paint brush in one of them. I dare anyone to deny this has not happened to them at least once if not more, not that it won't ever happen again, but I've found it hasn't happened as yet ;)

It also reduces the number of trips you have to make to the sink to clean your containers of dirty water, I have a bad back. this is an extreme plus in my book.

If my kids were still young I would have purchased a second one for them by now. Not only would they find it cool to flush, it is going to again save the constant running for fresh water and the chances that they will spill that dirty water on that pretty carpet or clean kitchen floor. Granted you want to make sure they let you carry it when it needs to be refilled as there is more water then cups.

It does have to be dumped between each bottle it doesn't fill it the rim but there isn't enough room for two bottles of water.

If you've been tossing the idea around like I was, let me solve the dilemma BUY IT YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!!!
