I bought this for our 18# Australian Terrier. It arrived a day or two before "expected delivery" and Webe loved it. Unfortunately, my husband got the mail at 2:15 and by 2:54 the toy was kaput. Head was off. This was not exactly a "hard life" - not like the labs in the review playing with their toy for months - which is what decided me on ordering this. Poor Weebs was CRUSHED when we had to take his new beloved toy away. He couldn't figure out what he'd done wrong.

I contacted the company and they issued a refund immediately. Must say I was pleased about that, BUT would really rather have had the toy for the dog.

In the video Webe is trying to get our old and blind dog to play tug with him. Because Wally can't see the toy he doesn't "get the game" any more, so no rough doggie tug was played.

I bought three of these for my dog Jesse, a spayed Yellow Labrador. When they came in, I gave her one and put the other two out of her reach on top of her indoor kennel (her safe place). Having seen her play with and eventually destroy several similar latex animal toys, I knew she would love to whip it around, smack it on the floor, and even throw it across the room. Yes, I do worry a little about that last thing, but it didn't hurt when she once threw it into the side of my head - and so far she hasn't broken anything. Besides, she was so really really really pleased with herself when she got me with it! I did complain and she no longer throws it in my direction.

These chickens are tough! She still has all three of them after many months, although Ace (my son's young exuberant mix) chewed the face off one of them and SOMEONE has managed to mute all three (not necessarily a bad thing). Holding two in reserve didn't work out. The second day Jesse sat gazing at the two of them and softly whining until I put them in play too.

Excellent toys and easily worth the money.

Im not sure what happened but after about a week the squeaker stopped working. It's still my dogs favorite toy though.

This toy is well made and very cute. The latex is thick and durable and the squeaker inside seems to be indestructable. I have a 4 month old Golden Retriever puppy that absolutely loves this toy. It is by far his favorite toy. He is constantly biting and squeaking it and it has held up like new....no rips or tears and the squeaker still works. I highly recommend this toy and I would definitely buy another one if my puppy ever wore it out.

This is so much better than the competing squawky chicken there is no comparison! Had one of these and it lasted several years, but when it finally went, I bought a different one...it was no good, did not squeal and squawk near as good as this one and was harder to get a sound out of.

IMO, this is the real deal!

I have a 5 year old miniature dachshund that was able to break the squeaker and tear the stuffing out all within the first hour. I wish someone would make a latex toy that was strong enough to withstand his powerful jaws.
