I use rubber bands often. What I have found is that latex will break or turn gummy over time. These remain strong flexible and durable. I keep a few on my wrist they look great as a bracelet and they come in handy almost daily.

Believe it our not, finding latex free rubber bands in the real world is quite difficult. A lot of people have a latex issue, me included, but not a lot of office supply stores carry them. I found one that did but they wanted t-e-n+ dlrs for a box. Rubber bands were not that important to me. These rubber bands are strong, highly visible, and affordable. Next time I may be the other variety (1/8") from the same manufacturer that's a little thinner; but I'm very happy!

Can a rubber band be considered awesome? These would be the ones, They are unbelievably strong and durable and they don't seem to hurt much if you snap yourself by accident. I used them to secure stacks of CDs for transport; 10 CDs in a stack. T0wo bands across and two up and down hold them securely and with barely a wobble. Simply outstanding

Using these for a magic trick. I'm sure they are good as normal rubber bands too. But they work for what I am using them for ad they are a nice color of blue too. I wore them on my wrist for a month without taking them off in the hot shower and cold pools and around everywhere else. It took them a little over a month to start breaking when I stretched them to preform my trick. So repeated temperature changes and repeated stretching to about 8-10 inches is probably more than the company put them through during testing. Id say they are pretty darn durable.

The Alliance blue rubber bands are of pretty good quality. The price is decent for the quantity of rubber bands in the box. I only have had these for a short time, so I cannot comment on the longevity.

However, so far I am satisfied with this purchase and am considering the larger sizes for other uses.

- none so far

I bought these for use on the plastic center caps of my alloy wheels to prevent chattering. I installed one rubber band around the retention fingers of each plastic center cap before installation. The rubber band acts as an thin insulator / spacer and prevents physical contact between the hard plastic cap and the alloy wheel; thereby eliminating any rattling. I believe the antimicrobial additive also discourages mildew growth which might be a problem with regular rubber bands.
