I've been a fan of Origami since I was a kid. I purchased several books for my kids and so far this one has been the best. The size of the Book and the illustrations are great for children and the instructions easy to follow. My 7 year old boy made a Tulip for his mother and was very proud. The quality is very good, comes with enough paper, although it's never enough with 4 kids making Origami, (you can use any color paper even magazines). Great Book.

This is a great book, I love it! It's incredible detailed, fun illustrations, has a very good size for children and the paper that comes with the book is very cool. My kids are enjoying this book a lot.

Pros: Fun, great color pages, and high quality paper. A+ on engaging style. Spiral bound is great. Includes 90 sheets of paper, but would definitely add in additional with order.

Cons: Low number of projects - it is less than 30 pages and projects take up at least 2 pages. Only 13 designs and that includes: a paper airplane (!), a paper pocket, a secret note envelope fold, and a 'cootie catcher' which is that four way fortune teller you may remember from grade school.

And lastly, the designs tend to be more complex than some others I have seen. Considering the kid friendly style I expected a bit more simple versions.

No matter the negatives above, it is still a nice addition to the library. I simply wouldn't choose it as a single book to start.

My kids received this book as a present from my brother and they have enjoy it very much. They have made a lot of origami pieces and keeps them busy doing something creative. The other day some friends came for dinner and they amused our guests creating lots of origami fold ups.

I ordered this because of all of the wonderful reviews but I have to say I thought it was awful.. The book itself is really well made and the paper is beautiful... but my first problem was some of the designs are really boring and some of the others give poor instructions. Also the paper that comes with it is smaller than the size several of the designs suggest you use. All in all we were pretty disappointed with this.

I love this book! It was purchased for my kids, but I am having as much fun with it as they are. The book is super colorful and has really engaging photos and illustrations. I also loved all the history they included in the front of the book. We got a few books from the library and none of them even compared to this one--and it comes with the paper.

My kids are 8 & 4 and really enjoying it. The large size and spiral binding make it really durable and easy for young kids to carry it around. I can't recommend this one highly enough!

Got this for my 8 yo daughter for Christmas. She loves it - I'm finding little flowers in pots & animals all over the house! It's nice that they come with a bunch of paper all different colors & patterns. It sure is easier to have the paper in a perfect square than all the cuttings I was finding laying around when she was using copy paper!
