Pickup Truck Shell Shocks

The order arrived in a timely manner. In fact faster then originally cited. The shocks for the rear hatch of the truck bed shell were easy to install (less then 5 min.) and provide excellent opening assistance and support for the hatch. Excellent product for the cost, (two for the price of one locally), excellent service from API Clamps and Amazon. Great experience and my wife is happy she doesn't have to keep the truck bed shell hatch opened with her head.

They will not honor the 5 year warranty.

The previous set was pretty much shot. These are great. They hold up the door a lot better than a stick and are pretty easy to put on.

UPDATE: Didn't last a year. The description here says "5 year warranty," but they won't honor it and in order to get the 5 year warranty from Suspa you have to buy the struts directly from their website. When I emailed them, they said eBay and Amazon are "notorious" for selling old struts as new.

Received 3 days before earliest advertised delivery date! These are to replace ones on a 2005 ford ranger camper shell. Slightly different length than original ones but they installed without any problems. Just slip a screwdriver into the slot to pull on the c clip on an end and pull. Easy to install also, just push on. Will update when they fail to give an idea on durability

Perfect OEM replacement. Installed very simply. I really did replace both of them on Ford Ranger camper shell in 5 minutes or less with only a flat head screw driver. The old ones failed at the same time after eight years (perhaps one was doing all the work after the first one started leaking and I never noticed it). Very pleasantly surprised at the strengh of the new ones, as well as how long the old ones lasted with alot of use.

Exactly what I needed to replace the struts on an older LEER 100R Camper Shell.

Exactly what I needed to replace the struts on an old LEER 100R camper shell / topper I recently purchased.

One hint that I didn't realize until I was done with the first shock - You do not need to take the clips off to install. You just need to insert a flat-tip screw driver blade and slightly move the clip from the shock body. It will slip on very easily if you follow my advice. If you don't, you'll have a very hard time putting the clips back on.
