I'm pretty amazed at how these work. I am vegan and was unknowingly taking nonvegan probiotics, the best of the best, the kind you pay obscene amounts for, refrigerate, and have to take loyally 3x a day at least 30 minutes before a meal. They worked ok and all but when I discovered the dairy I looked elsewhere.

These are affordable, I can take them with or without food, it doesn't matter if they are refrigerated, and they work better and require less dosing than the more expensive high maintenance ones I have tried. I have found my new probiotic.

Rainbow light Probiotic has a prebiotic as well as a probiotic component,so it helps my entire digestive tract. Probiotic: Lactobacilicus sporogenes ( 1 billion) Prebiotic: Inulin 25g Larch arabinogatactin 25mg Digestive Support: Ginger Fresh Juice 10:1 Extract 20mg, Fennel seed powde 20mg, Tumeric 50:1 Extract 15mg and Pppermint leaf powder 15mg. It is sometimes hard to read the product lables on Amazon so I hope this helps. At home I use it as a compliment to my old standby brand that has some different strains in it ,but is a refrigerated variety. I thinkthe Rainbow Light Probio 1b is a very solid product and It is the one I always take wih me when I travel.

IBS is a bummer. If you have it you know it. So if you do have IBS or other digestive system issues you need the support of good probiotic supplement. For my money, vegan Rainbow Light ProbioActive in V caps is THE probiotic supplement to buy.

Let me tell you my story so you will know that you can trust me on this. I have been disabled with a very debilitating chronic illness and carry a tremendous load of health issues as a result. To give you an idea of what I am dealing with, I had Lyme Disease go undiagnosed and therefore untreated for over 25 years. When the blood work came back highly positive for Borrelia burgdorferii, I was immediately put on antibiotics. I continued antibiotic treatment for a solid 2 years with the hope of curing the Lyme infection. The antibiotics did not cure me of the Lyme infection. I then underwent 3 months of Hydrogen Peroxide intravenous treatments. I only worsened. All the antibiotics caused candidiasis. I also suffered with IBS, GERD, hiatal hernia, celiac disease, food allergies, as well as other complications and co-infections of the Lyme Disease. I was and continue to be a mess.

I think that during the past 15-20 years I have tried them all (that is those probiotics which meet my dietary requirements.) I am a vegan with dairy and wheat allergies and some other food intolerances. I have to read labels carefully and went through every compatible probiotic in my health food store's cooler and on their supplement shelf. Some were great, some not. All were expensive.

I then started shopping for probiotics at Amazon hoping to find less expensive supplements there. Amazon does have quite a few and at better prices than the health food pill emporiums but my concern was the shipping.Read more ›

I love the fact that it's just one pill per day. I have bought other Rainbow Light products and really like the brand. I like that it's a probiotic as well as prebiotic in one. So far, I've noticed that it has helped with some constipation. I will continue to take this product.

I've been taking these probiotics for several years now. I absolutely love them. I'm prone to IBS, but have had almost no flare-ups since I started these. If I do, I just take a few extra and it solves the problem within 48-72 hours. They don't need refrigeration, which is a HUGE plus in my book. Great price too.

My only complaint about this product is that there is not enough power....we are always recommended 14 parts per billion as a minimum, but I bought this for the pairing idea of pre-biotics with the pro-biotics! THAT, is a great idea! The caplets are tiny, and I really think the manufacturer could have upped the size to incorporate more into the mix. I do not, however, know their philosophy on that as it's not described, so they may have a reason?

All in all a nice little caplet for a boost to the system that is easy on it, and easy to swallow as well.
Being unable to find the combo again, I would re-order...
