This product is so easy to work with.
1:1 ratio mix, Degasses easily, 30 min work time, 12hrs to "wet set" 24 hours to dry set and 3 days to completely hard set (temperature DOES make a difference in setting times)

I love this product. It was very easy to use by following the directions and everything I have made has set up well. You have to tinker with air bubbles sometimes but that is to be expected with this type of product. You will need (disposable) measuring cups, I used medicine cups, and wooden stirring sticks. If you are making small pieces such as jewelry, start out with small amounts, because once it's mixed you have to use it or lose it.

I have purchased this product from local craft stores (A.C. Moore & Michael's), so I knew the product was of good quality. I liked that it came in 32 oz., I was able to create many craft projects. I've started to dabble with making keepsakes/jewelery tokens, and this product is easy to use. Be sure to follow instructions - measure accurately, stir for time stating. When using molds, it is helpful to spray molds with their product made for molds - helps with releasing them easily.

Purchased this "crystal clear" casting epoxy to complement a hardwood, live edge piece of furniture I was making. I wanted to use it to fill knot holes and other imperfections in the wood. Previously I would have used a standard wood glue + sawdust, but was working with a piece of jobillo that's just so beautiful!

To prep the wood, I meticulously cleaned out the knot holes, using a dremel, dental tools & an air hose / compressor. Expecting the product to shrink a little, a formed a small wax mold around each knot hole, so I could over pour. Most holes were between a dime & quarter in size, some unto 1.5" think. I used tiny disposable measuring cups, and mixed 2.5ml each of liquid (glue + hardener). And I did this in my living room, to ensure fairly consistent room temperatures (high 60's, low 70's). To assist in removing bubbles, I used a Dewalt Heat gun, at 300oF (fairly low). Higher then this would melt the wax mold.

The final product looks beautiful. But I doubt I'll be using it again.

Cons:
* Product shrunk, a lot. I had to re-pour several holes, even though I over-poured by 50%, unto 1/4" in many cases.
* Low odor is relevant. It stunk my house out.
* Small knot holes (dime & shallow) were bubble free. Bubbles in the larger knots were impossible to fully remove.
* You can tell the layers between different pours. This was really, really annoying. Enough that I carved out & re-poured some with a larger overflow / shrink basin.
* There is clear distortion in many of the holes, regardless to size. Thankfully, it didn't matter, but if you want crystal clear, this may be a problem.
* 1 Hole failed to fully harden, and I had to carve it out / replace.Read more ›

This product was easy to use and did not have a strong odor. Just be sure to follow the directions and really stir it 5 minutes to avoid bubbles and stickiness. It took my project 48 hours to dry completely. Also, to avoid fingerprint marks on the item, check with toothpick.

So easy to use. Very low odor so no mask or ventilation required. It does state that projects have to be under 6 oz. So far my projects included resin rings and coasters. Mixes wonderful with acrylic paint for color. Follow the directions and you should have no problems. I used medicine cups, disposable cups and plastic utensils to mix the resin epoxy.
