This board really does prevent the fabric block from moving. So far, no distortion at all. It does all it promised to do, plus it is double sided so it is like getting two boards for the price I expected to pay for one. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I don't understand what the previous reviewer is saying. I have this same stencil already and it's fine. Of course it's a thin sheet of plastic - it's a stencil. And I haven't seen any stencils at my local WalMarts, much less for a lower price. I didn't buy my stencil at Amazon - I got it through JoAnn's - but it's made by StenSource so it must be the same thing. That pattern is what's shown in the picture.
