In my book there isn't much better than Quilt in a Day! This is a very handy tool for both 1/2 square and 1/4 square triangles. The center line from point to point helps keep the ruler in position against the seam to make squaring up a breeze. I love it! Never better pieced quilt blocks since I've used this (I have 8+ quilt rulers - this is the best!). Much better than the Omnigrid version!

This works like a charm to square up half- square triangles for quilting. You sew the squares, cut in half and before opening the resultant triangle, place the ruler against the seam and line up the triangle with the ruler to what ever block size you are trying to make. Using a rotary cutter, cut the excess and a perfect HST results. I have been able to "repurpose" some larger, left over blocks to the right size for a new smaller pattern using this ruler. Fool proof...

This ruler makes it so easy to square up HSTs, whether they be two, three or four color. Laying the ruler on the seam line is so much easier than trying to hold a square-up ruler firmly on top of that inner seam, particularly when creating three or four color HSTs. Also, just having to make two cuts rather than four and not having to rotate the HST or ruler is a time saver. Like all my other Quilt-In-A-Day rulers, this one is tops!

Great tool for squaring up triangles for better accuracy when piecing quilts. They can be checked before you iron them open. It saves a lot of time to only have to cut 2 sides instead of 4. it makes a big difference in quilts that have many, many of these blocks !!!

I can't believe how much more accurate my Half square triangles were with this ruler. Cut the squares a smidge larger than called for, sew them down the middle, and cut apart. Before you open the triangle, place the ruler over the seam line and trim it up. My HSTs are absolutely perfect! I just take a stack of sewn squares and sit in front of the TV and cut and trim. How did I do it before I had the ruler? Not well at all. They were all wonky. 😉

I was leaving on a trip the day after I got the ruler. I packed the ruler, a small mat and cutter, and over 600 HST's to trim. By the time I returned home, they were all trimmed. It was a breeze to use this ruler. Best thing I have purchased in a long time. I got the smaller one because smaller ruler are easier to use, but I may treat myself to the larger one, also.
