Stratocaster Guitar
The highly versatile Stratocaster guitar offers legendary Fender tone combined with classic styling, and it's suited for all styles of music. It features a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position inlays, three single-coil pickups with 5-way switching for the Strat's trademark tonal variety, sealed die-cast tuners for consistent tuning stability, chrome hardware and a three-ply white pickguard. The synchronous tremolo bridge can be used for subtle shimmery manipulation of chords or hard-core whammy-bar excursions. You'll also get a wide range of tones from the single volume and dual tone controls.

Squier SP-10 Amplifier
The Squier SP-10 amp controls include volume, treble, bass, and an overdrive on/off button that delivers tube-like tone. A headphone output allows silent practice. It features a 6-inch speaker, 10-watt drive, and a tough, textured vinyl exterior.

Instructional DVD
Get started on the basics right away with a lesson DVD from Fender.

I don't know much about guitars so I can't compare this item with other guitars.

For the price of this setup I would consider it a bargain. Including a tuner is a life saver since I am tone deaf and would have no other way to tune the guitar. Including the guitar stand was another bonus I never thought of. Now after practicing I have a convenient place for the guitar.

At first I wondered whether the problem was the guitar when I had trouble with cords. Now I know it was me. After a lot of practice I get it right most of the time.

I would recommend this item to anyone starting out to learn how to play a guitar.

This was a birthday gift. My son (12) was thrilled and immediately struck a pose and began to play "Smoke on the Water," which I didn't even know he knew. He has never played guitar before.

He hasn't watched the instructional DVD yet. Hope he can learn a few things from that.

Bought this for my son for Christmas.....excellent product with a great sound. All of the accessories are a great value (especially the amp, it's just right for him, being a beginner). I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of purchasing one for a beginner electric guitarist.
Also, it was packed very well and the shipping from Amazon, as usual, was quick and smooth. A+++
