I needed an Ethernet hub with more than four inputs because I had bought a new device with an Ethernet connection and there was no place to connect it. When this hub arrived I plugged the five Ethernet cables into it, plugged in the Ethernet source connection and plugged the AC adapter into the wall outlet. That was it. It has worked ever since with no problem.
