These scissors were perfect for what I needed. My beginner sewers (ages 6 and 9) can easily cut fabric with them even with their small hands. It especially helped my 6yo not to "chop" at the fabric. Neither of them could cut well at all with my "grownup" size Fiskars.

These were okay. IMO, they are not really sewing scissors. My daughter still uses them, because, well, who doesn't use scissors? However, I really bought these with the intent for her to be able to use them with her fabrics and creations.

These are advertised as "student sewing scissors.." and they're useful for cutting thread from a spool. That's about it. Horrible at cutting any type of fabric.

My 7 year old daughter is loving sewing, and these are perfect for her first tools! She is on the extremely petite side, but she is able to cut fabric, from fleece to denim, to quilters cotton and tulle nicely with these shears. I believe that kids should have proper tools when learning trades, but to scale, and if possible with safe guards. As these cut to the tip, they work just like my full sized Fiskars and Gingher shears, but the rounded tip, and shorter blade length makes them a more practical size for a child.
I'm starting a business of home sewing instruction and I purchased these for all of my younger students.
