I bought this product for my skin to hopefully help to clear up some discoloration on my face and chest from having acne. I have been using Hydoquinone for years, but became worried after reading some warnings about that chemical that it may cause cancer.

I have not seen much improvement in my skin as far as discoloration goes, but I intend to at least use it for 6-12 months before I expect to see improvement as I am deep brown skinned and it is supposed to take longer on darker skinned individuals.

The reason I gave this a four instead of a 2 or 3 is because I am not totally disappointed in this product. When I was in my twenties and thirties (I'm now 44) I was very athletic and because of that I often wake up with pain in my knees and I have sciatic nerve pain as well. I was taking Glucosomine which helps my knees, and I was putting up with the sciatic pain. Sometimes I couldn't even stand long so I would squat if I had to wait for my bus to get to work or wait in line at the store. People would stare at me, but squating helped relieve the sciatic pain. One day I was in so much back pain after a long drive that I couldn't even lift my legs to get out of my car, so I just sat there trying to figure out what I was going to do.

I was stunned that after three weeks of taking Glutathione I was waking up with absolutely NO sciatic pain and no knee pain. I couldn't believe it. I am assuming it is the Alpha Lipoic Acid in it (50 mg). Nothing on my body hurts. At this point I am still in disbelief because I would never think that I could buy a product to treat one condition (my skin) and here it is it helped me with something I thought I'd have to deal with b/c I was getting older.Read more ›

I've read varying reports about whether this supplement can be "absorbed" or not, there are plenty of confusing opinions! Yet I felt it was worth a try and I'm glad I started taking glutathione. I'm also taking collagen, so it's hard to say whether this has helped my joint pain or not. Usually I begin to appreciate a supplement when I STOP taking it, the benefits are much easier to track at that point. I do, however, notice positive changes in my complexion & the skin on my body. I have the sort of skin that's translucent & sort of "veiny" looking. I have always avoided wearing shorts or skirts because my skin looked so strange. I have been told it's due to circulation issues, but other supplements I've taken for circulation (like Ginkgo) have done nothing to help. This supplement has cured this problem! I also have varicose veins, and I noticed that they don't look as extreme and are not as painful, the ache after activity has lessened considerably. My skin overall does look lighter! I have a fair to medium complexion, this supplement has made my skin look more fair but it a nice way, with a healthy pink tone. The sallowness of my complexion has gone, in it's place I have healthy looking fair skin. It's a subtle change, yet noticeable. The blotchiness of my acne prone skin is gone as well. It really wasn't my intention to change the color of my skin, so I am pleased by the benefits I have received and will continue taking this supplement. It also contains Milk Thistle, which is helpful for detoxing the liver, and Alpha Lipoic Acid, which has benefits too numerous to mention here. My skin has taken a beating with stress, illness, and a hypothyroid condition over the years, so anything that helps in making it look fresher & healthier is welcome. Glutatione that is not liposomal is very poorly absorbed in the GI tract. Dont waste money on a regular glutathione oral product. To increase glutathione levels, take NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) instead, or else go straight to a liposomal glutathione product.

This product got rid of my arthritis knee pain. Also if you are using this for skin whiteing I noticed a gradual change in my skin complexion. See the pic that I provided. I have a before and after. I used 500 mg of Glutathione and, 3,000 mg of vitamin C to get my skin to lighten up a few shades.

I've been taking Glutathione 500 for more than two years now. Fall of 2010 I've noticed the brown spot/ aging spot on my cheekbone right under my eye, and since I love spending time on my garden and walking in the park ( I used SPF 70 on my face }I had a lot of sun exposure that causes those brown spot and my skin was kinda dull and darker with brown pigmentation especially on the back of my hands pigmentation so noticeable. Maybe I myself won't realized the good result but those who did not see you for years will see the difference. Thanks to GluthathioneI looked much younger today than when I was 30's . I was taking also Vit. C since research says Glutathione easily absorb when you take it with Vit C.
For me the 1000mg will just give the same result as the 500mg as long as you take it religiously everyday.
