I have done the math. After one school year of buying (substandard) iced tea at Starbucks, I have spent $578 and approximately 33 hours of my life (2.89 for a tea, 10 minutes to go and wait and get it). For my own home brewed tea, which takes close to NO TIME to make, I am spending 60 dollars a school year (30 cents a cup, 2 tea bags a morning). With my 518 dollars in savings, I will be buying a pair of exorbitantly expensive boots. WHICH I LOVE. Everyone wins: Twinings, Frye Boots, and America. THIS TEA IS GREAT.

The only tea.

The Irish tea.

To be taken only in the morning unless you have no reason to sleep that night.

A tea to heal the disturbed mind and soul. A tea for the Irish.

Take half and half with even skimmed milk and you will never see coffee again.

Wake up and smell the tea.

How kind of the Amazon to offer it on line. I shall never again suffer tea-separation anxiety when the local grocer is out.

A source of peace and of comfort far from home. More powerful and peaceful than any artificial pharmeceutical prescribed. Take two cups and call me in the morning.

Thank you, O mighty Amazon.

Flavor Name: Lapsang SouchongStyle Name: Black TeaSize: 20 Count (Pack of 6) Verified Purchase
One of the many gifts my mother gave to me was the love of a strong tea. Normally, I'm down for the standard Irish Breakfast or similar styles; however, when I was introduced to Lapsang Souchong, it was love at first smell. It tastes like delicious bacon. Everyone loves bacon! Bacon anything is good: On a bagel, around a steak, around a hot dog, by itself, and now in my tea.

Now I am no tea snob, I drink with milk and sugar like a normal person. I have tried many teas, and strongly dislike the earl/lady grey clones as well as anything carried by Starbucks. This is totally different. I can and will drink 5-6 cups a day and not get tired of it (hence my need to be a complete whack-job and order 120 bags on Amazon). Totally support all you other whack jobs out there. And if anyone knows of another brand that makes awesome Lapsang Souchong, I am not tied to Twinings, it is just the only one I have seen.

Flavor Name: Lemon and GingerStyle Name: Herbal TeaSize: 20 Count (Pack of 6)
My first impression is not the initial taste on the tip of my tongue as first expected, but the powerful, almost peppery taste at the back of my throat as I sip this one down. On the second sipping, more on the tip of my tongue this time, the tea's more subtle qualities come through: the mellow side of the lemon and ginger combination--then wham again with the peppery snap at the back of my throat. This is no mildly flavored herbal, but one directly infused with ginger root, lemon peel, lemon grass and blackberry leaves. One other interesting ingredient is linden, a plant with many medicinal properties and used for such for many centuries. It would be interesting to know if it is the linden flower that is used (and most probably it was), since this is a diaphoretic, a very mild fever-inducing part of the plant when taken as a hot tea. This naturally enables the body to help fight off infections according to some sources I looked up on the web. Not to worry though--this is not a fever that will keep you from work! It's one that will make your body work for you instead.

I bought this one for some relief from a sore throat and it definitely helps ease my sinus induced problem. As with any lemon-flavored beverage I've tried, it does leave a slight aftertaste of lemon, but not too strong or unpleasant. I imagine it would be quite good with honey, which I will definitely try once I get home from work. For now, a slight bit of sugar seemed to compliment the flavors nicely, even bringing them out more. This is a strong flavored herbal, not a mellow one as I've come to expect a lot of herbals to be. Drink with caution if you like your herbals on the softer side. This one's courting the wilder side of the tea experience.

Flavor Name: Chai TeaStyle Name: ChaiSize: 20 Count (Pack of 6) Verified Purchase
My wife is Indian and loves Chai tea, but we're busy people and it takes a long time to make it properly. She has tried the following:

1. Starbucks Chai Latte (from Starbucks)
2. Starbucks Chai (concentrate, the cardboard box with the syrup in it)
3. Trader Joe's Spiced Chai (powder)
4. Oregon Chai (powder and liquid)
5. Some other Chai powder that Costco had a few years ago but I don't remember the name now.

Except for #1 (which is crazy expensive at >$[...] a cup), the rest have been lackluster. But then she found Twinings Indian Spiced Chai Tea which is exactly what she was looking for, but you can't find it in every grocery store.

Follow the instructions (1/4 cup milk, 3/4 cup water, 2 tsp sugar, tea bag) and you'll make a perfect cup every time, at like 1/20th the price of Starbucks.

UPDATE: Now that they have changed the product from "Indian Spiced Chai" to just "Chai", it is nowhere as good. I have to reduce my 5 star rating to 3.

UPDATE 2: Here's her new favorite: Yogi Chai Rooibos, also available from Amazon.

A fried had told me the Twinings Cold Brew Iced Tea Bags knowing that I drink a lot of iced tea. Rather than running to Starbucks or using the substandard Lipton brand, I buy 6-pack of these boxes every 2-3 months. I love them. What a budget saver.
