No More Coffee Shops for Me, September 27, 2008
I developed a bad habit of wanting a latte or cappucino everyday. Although I didn't indulge everyday due to expense ($3.50 a latte), I wanted to. Then I saw this little coffee pot advertised, and I got it right away. After I got the knack of putting on the pressure pump, it has delivered for me. In a jiffy, I have the best capuccino or latte at a fraction of my former expense. And it is every bit as good as I got in a coffee shop-- the frothing is excellent. I am so glad I saw this machine and ordered it. My calculation was that it will pay for itself in less than 60 days. This has been my happiest purchase this year. So indulgent, yet so smart to do. And because I bought caffeine-free expresso... I have my drinks day or night... whenever I want.

A decent cappuccino after 10th attempt, October 17, 2008
Does it make a decent cappuccino? Yes, I am drinking one right now. Ask me how many attempt it took me to get here - I would say about 10... The machine is not easy to work at first, but once you get the knack of putting the pressure valve on, remembering to press it down (if you don't you'll end up with a very cold latte), figuring out how much water to pour in (I find putting 1/2 cup than the instruction tells you to do ends up in a mess on the counter) etc., you will end up with a decent cup of coffee. The result is not better than the one from the coffee shop down the road (and definitely colder) and it does cost $3 a shot for the first 50 days - I am on my 5th one, I'll let you know if it still works after 50.
Bottom line - if you have patience to read the instructions 5 times before you attempt to operate the machine and if you are OK with a small, not terribly hot cappuccino (I like mine Tall and scorching hot), this machine is for you. Otherwise, just get BODUM electric espresso maker and their milk frother and go for it, it will take you as much time to make your BIG, HOT cappuccino (even if you boil milk on the stove), as trying to assemble and operate MUKKA.

Great machine!, October 27, 2008
Huge money and time saver! I add the water and espresso the night before (takes about 30 seconds). In the morning I add milk, turn the machine on, and by the time I'm ready to jump in the shower my perfect, hot cappuccino is ready. I watched the video that came with the machine - got it right the first time. At first, I had difficulty taking the machine apart to clean it. Then my husband discovered that if you remove the pressure valve first, the machine comes apart easily. No more problems. I am so glad I purchased this machine.
