If you have problems threading a needle for any reason, this is a great product. And with the light it makes it that much easier. I wish i had though to purchase this long before now. I used to have my kids or husband thread for me..with this product i can once again do it myself.

When I had two cataracts removed I chose 'distance' vision lenses to be placed in my eyes...Now I can drive withOUT glasses and can wear OTC sunglasses and reading glasses....BUT I can't see to thread needles, not even with 3+ readers. BUT with THIS item, I can see to thread the sewing machine needles, a task which I never found to be easy is now easy-peasy. I already have needle threaders, but the light on this one makes all the difference. One caveat...they need to add color to the cap which, transparent as it is is now "lost" and hard to find.

bought this needle threader because i kept breaking other ones in a use or two. i have used this needle threader at least twenty times pretty durable and the light is super bright.

This helps a lot. I am one who sews with crafts (Counter Cross Stitching, etc).
You have to be really awake to see both the entrance to the hole in the needle to enter the thread (just as well as the sewing, etc). This light helps.
Different needles are prepared for different widths of threads.

I love this product. I was having such a hard time trying to thread the tiny needles that I had to wait for my daughter to come home to help me. The light on this is a nice feature. I see some people said it did not work--be sure to slide open the battery door and take out the cardboard piece that is put there for shipping purposes.

I purchased two of these, one works perfects, the other has broken. I did not bother to return it, as I feel it was user error or maybe I should say user abuse, I did not treat the threader portion, which is necessarily fine grade wire, as carefully as I should have, and managed to pull one side of the wire from the housing, I may be able to fix it, if not, I chalk it up to experience. The lights on both work well, in theory it's the perfect solution to aging eyes threading needles.

Hopefully I don't ever have to purchase another, but if I do, I would probably reorder from this company, the item was less the problem than the user!
