We just moved to Northwest Kansas and our new home needs a lot of work. We decided to paint the front room/kitchen in a very soft medium gray. We followed that with a filigreed wallpaper on two walls with the background matching the paint and the filigrees in white, light gray and dark gray. It's stunning to say the least so then we needed to have these beautiful switch plates to add to the ambiance. Larger than the regular plastic ones, and metal so they won't crack, they finish the room perfectly.

Hey, It's an Electrical Outlet Cover. How nice will it ever look? These covers are the most elegant, heavy duty, cost effective way to enhance an outlet I've ever seen.. I bought 85.00 worth and was a little worried one of the screws would be missing per another review. I found all the covers nicely packaged with all the screws intact,. Beware, don't rip them open, cut them open with scissors at one end and carefully remove or the screws can go flying to unknown places, especially if you rip them open over a garbage can. You may find some of the screws a tad long and they bottom out when screwing them in place, back them back out, grind them to proper length and replace. If you don't have any basic skills or patience hire it done.

These are simply gorgeous. I think most people would think these are a little pricey, I know that the socket plate covers are around $10 each, and I needed 13 of them, so I will use oiled bronze spray paint on those. But these I think are well worth the price, because obviously switch plate covers are more visible than socket covers. They are a very heavy metal.

I admit that I don't like those cheap, plastic 10-cent light switch covers. I mean, people spend a lot of money for paint, furniture, lighting fixtures, etc. and then leave on the cheapest-possible switch covers. I sort of see the metal in my house as my rooms' jewelry!! ha ha!! So I like nice handles, knobs, escutcheon plates, etc. My house is old and has some of the original brass hardware, but there are places it is missing. THIS line of plate covers fit the bill nicely! (I also have the [[ASIN:B00Single switch model.

Installation was simple, just the six screws. I did think the color of the screws was a little dark. It looked more like the edge color than the field...but very close. Also, my screws were long. I have never had switch plate screws that long. It usually wouldn't matter, and even here it didn't matter...except for 2 holes on the the bottom where the screw hit the wire underneath and wouldn't go in any further. To be fair it was a 3-way switch so there was extra wire in there. And it IS an old house so the junction box might not be as deep as newer homes. I did have some old brass ones from some long-forgotten plate (I save screws sometimes in a coffee can!) and switched them out.

I really like it, especially when your hand hits it and you feel the solidness of it, not plastic.

wow, didn't realize what a difference a face plate cover could make. For reference I bought this one as it is in a very prominent place in my living room and then I got the rustoleum oil rubbed bronze spray paint and painted the other ugly white ones and you really can't tell a difference!

ANY Brainerd oil rubbed bronze fixture cover is VERY high quality with a stunning finish. I have replaced almost ALL my switch covers in the entire house with this model (using brown plugs, white looks ok, but clashes a little) So, if you are any kind of handyman, replace your white or tan outlet or switch with a brown one...it looks classy.
