I do not struggle with massive breakouts or have serious acne but I do get blemishes sometimes so it is nice to have one or two blemish control products on hand that work and work fast when you need them. However I do use natural products and do not want the harsh, chemical laden heavy duty stuff that drys or irritates your skin in the name of fighting a couple pimples. I tried this product on account that I had been looking at Juice Beauty products for a while now and decided to try this one first. I am not impressed. It is a liquid/gel product that is labled as a serum that you can either use on just the blemished areas or over the whole skin under makeup. Here is my problem with the product:

-While it does do a good job of not drying out your skin it seems to do better at leaving a moisturizing shinny gel treatment on your face as opposed to soaking in and getting the blemish area under control.
-Serums are supposed to have a smaller molecular structure that is more easily absorbed into the skin and results in a faster more effective working treatment product. As a serum this does not really soak in at all. It leaves a kind of thin sticky/glossy layer over your skin that never completely soaked in even after several hours. I could never forsee trying to wear even a light application of make up over it, even if it was just applied to a small area.
- I did a test where I just dabbed some gel from our aloe vera plant over a blemished area and used this product on another. I tried this about 3 times and each time the redness stayed under the Juice Beauty product and within the 30 minutes the redness and swelling had gone down with the fresh Aloe gel.

It appears from the reviews that it is helping some people. But for me who is looking at something for an occasional blemish or breakout treatment this does not seem very effective and definately not something worth $25-$30 for 2 ounces.

Still 2 stars for a commitment to natural ingredients.

I have extremely sensitive, breakout prone skin. I have a very limited number of products that I know I can use without reaction -- but most skin clearing products I have used have just dried my skin out. This product is a complete lifesaver! I started using it and noticed a difference within 3 days. I've been using it for about a month now and no irritation or drying. Best of all, no more breakout issues! I keep it in the fridge and put it on in the morning - very refreshing.

I have rosacea and this product is good enough to use in between my metrogel treatments when I get a recurrence. In fact I had a combination of rosacea and a reaction, both brought on by a mineral powder makeup, and the metrogel stopped working after a while, in fact exacerbated my condition, and this is the only product that has finally made my skin clear again. I really do love this product, I'll always have it in the house.......and I love that it comes in glass and not plastic.

I got this serum for my teenage daughters and they have been happy with it. It does help to prevent breakouts and clear up the ones they have. The one thing they don't like is the very strong, unpleasant smell. Also, be sure to use moisturizer after applying the serum (as directed) as it is very drying otherwise.

I decided to give this a try based on the reviews. Most said it's not over drying, which is hard to find when saliycic acid is in it, yet the ingredient really helps with break outs. Well verdict is out and FINALLY it does not overdry my skin at all. I'm in my 30s and I'm really tired of frequent breakouts. This helps prevent and clear them. It's been over a week and my face looks great. It's not a miracle in a bottle but i can tell it's helping. I gave it only 4 because i can not use this in the morning like it states. It leaves a glossy look on your face and makes my make up really difficult to work with. I use it at night, it takes a few mins to dry, so you have to be patient. It's sticky until it dries so don't even try to put moisturizer on right away but it does stay on once it dries. My face is still glossy in the morning until i wash it off. All in all i love that it doesn't over dry and has salicylic acid. That's a big plus. The dry time and gloss brings it down a little but blemishes clear up faster and I'm not breaking out as much.

The price isn't too bad. A little goes a long way and after almost two weeks I've barely used a fourth of the bottle...keeping in mind that i only use it at night.

It's been a month and I almost stopped this product. After my last review i broke out thanks to mother nature and thought maybe it was this. Glad i never stopped using it. I was using it to concentrate on n just the break out areas instead of rubbing it all over. I noticed if you use it like a moisturizer and put a thin layer everywhere you don't get that sticky shine. It dries very fast and i can finally put make up over it no problem. My make up has spf 45....highly recommended spf if you're going out with it on because of the acid in it.Read more ›

Comes in a fairly large clear bottle with a "dropper-style" application. Slight medicinal scent but not unpleasant at all. Consistency like a serum - not too thick clear product.

This clearing serum came just in time. Even at my age, I am occasionally prone to breakouts, so I wanted to try this product. But coincidentally Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum arrived right at the worst break out I've had since I was a teenager (many many years ago - dang!). Stress, too much travel to too many different places, not taking my probiotic or vitamins regularly, eating poorly, not exercising as often as I usually do -- all these contributed to a bad complexion episode.

I applied the serum for several days over my entire face but concentrating on the areas that were broken out. After the first application that night, I woke the next morning to a change--I really was astonished that this serum worked that quickly to begin drying up the mess on my face! After about three to four applications (morning and night), my blemishes were almost gone.

This serum takes out the redness, yes, but also works to heal/dry up the blemishes. It really did work, yáll.

Since I have sensitive skin and a bit of rosacea, my face felt a little warm after the first few applications, and there was a slight redness, but this went away and was well worth it to have my face clear again. I would use this product maybe twice a week just to keep any blemishes away that may decide to erupt.

Usually, I applied the serum, waited about five minutes, and then applied my regular serum or moisturizer -- that helped so that my face didn't feel too dry.

A good product that's organic, as well!
