mall walker

I started wearing the Hush Puppies Mall Walker for work, close to 10 years ago.
I'm on my feet 9-10 hours a day, 5 days a week and after years of sore feet and shoes not lasting more than six months at most, I stumbled upon the Mall Walker.
This shoe is super comfortable right out of the box. There is no break in period while the shoe forms to your foot. The welt is sewn which is a necessity for me.
Because I'm on my feet so much, they sweat a lot and the glued shoes break down in just a few months.
The soles offer great traction and cushion and always last me at least a full year. Considering the miles I put on them, I can't ask for more.
In addition, they are fairly stylish and look respectable with dress pants, shirt and tie and a breeze to keep shined. Don't ever stop making these! Well, until I can retire anyway.

Size discrepancy depends on color...

These are nice shoes, and seem to be well made. They are comfortable right out of the box. The only issue I had was that I ordered two pairs, one black and one brown, both in 6 1/2 EEE (the size I normally wear). The black ones were true-to-size and fit me just fine. The brown ones, although marked the same size, were a whole size too big. I sent them back and ordered the brown shoes in a 6 EEE and they now fit just as well as the black ones that are 6 1/2 EEE. It seems there is a size difference between the colors, with the brown ones running a whole size bigger than marked.

Comfortable,

I have REALLY wide feet. I never had shoes that fit as good as these. I also wear it for a long period of time and I don't feel the need to take them off. I walk long distances wearing them. they don't give me the pain that I had from other shoes. They're really practical.

Comfortable but a bit large

These shoes are exceptionally comfortable I have put about 12-15 miles in city walking on them, with no discomfort at all. Mine are size 8-1/2, and I normally wear size 9. But these are more like a 9-1/2 (one size larger than stated). Conversely, I bought a pair of size 8 for my dad. He usually wears 8 to 8-1/2, and his are a bit smaller than stated. So size may not be exactly what you expect.

Good quality shoes

These are the only shoes my husband would wear. He finds them very comfortable and they last a long time. We can only find them on amazon.com and we are very happy about it. The shoe is well priced and cheaper than, if found, in Canada. Will continue buying it.

Mall Walkers

Overall this is a good shoe. It has good workmanship on the outside. I don't find the footbed as comfortable as I thought it would be. What ever happened to the very comfortable shoes that made your feet feel good? What happened to shoes that enabled you to stand and /or walk all day with comfort? Shoes these days have a firm footbed that require extra cushion inserts and arch supports. What happened to comfort and quality inserts already in the shoe, not a thin piece of material to cover the bottom of the shoe. I am willing to pay a little more for a comfortable insert to be in the shoe when I buy it.

Stiff and uncomfortable

Lose and sloppy in most ways but tight near toes even though they are the same size as all my shoes. It is possible that the shoes would have been wearable after getting broken in, but I was not willing to chance it for the money. They do have a good arch and are light weight, which I like. Out of the box I did not like the appearance, but once I put them on they looked nice, just wore them on the carpet in the house. I returned them to Amazon with the online print out. Very easy. Maybe shoes are not the best thing to purchase online. I am surprised at all the positive reviews.
